Today, cystitis is one of the most serious diseases that requires not only complex treatment, but also first aid. It is distinguished by the fact that this disease is characterized by attacks of exacerbation. Pain in cystitis is paroxysmal, quite strong and long-lasting. They especially intensify during urination, during movements. The condition can be characterized as severe, requiring urgent measures.
Emergency care consists of stopping the attack of pain. After that, etiological treatment is carried out, aimed at eliminating the cause of the pathology. In the presence of infection, antibiotic therapy is also prescribed. Spa treatment is recommended during the non-attack period at the resorts of Yessentuki, Zheleznovodsk, Morshin, Truskavets, as well as in local specialized sanatoriums with adherence to a therapeutic diet. Surgical treatment is used mainly in the presence of complications.
What to do if you have pain due to cystitis?
It is necessary to take measures aimed at relieving pain. For this purpose, 2 ml of a 1% solution of promedol and 1 ml of a 0.1% solution of atropine sulfate are administered subcutaneously. After the acute attack has been relieved, treatment with antispasmodics and painkillers is used.
How to relieve, alleviate, what to drink for pain from cystitis?
In case of cystitis, painkillers and antispasmodics are used first and foremost to relieve pain. Such drugs as baralgin, no-shpa, urolesan and others have proven themselves well.
You can quickly relieve pain by injecting promedol and atropine sulfate. Any antispasmodic drugs and analgesics are also used. You can try no-shpa, ketonal, ibuprofen, nimesulide.
Medicines
Taking medications is only allowed with precautions. The main measures are the need to consult a doctor, as well as carefully read the instructions before using medications. It is important to remember that any drug can cause complications. In particular, the treatment of cystitis can be associated with complications such as deterioration of the condition, development of kidney and liver diseases, up to renal failure and death.
Drug treatment includes antibiotic therapy, suppositories are also used. Sulfonamides and nitrofurans are also used. Of the antibiotics, penicillin (500,000 U), oxacillin (0.25 grams), methicillin (1 gram), and nitrofuran derivatives are most often used: furadonin - 0.6 g / day. Antibacterial therapy is carried out in courses of 2-3 weeks. If after 3 days the patient's general condition does not improve, body temperature does not decrease, bacteriuria and proteinuria persist, it is necessary to increase the dose of the drug or replace it with another. Treatment can be continuous or intermittent. The duration of the break is from 10 days to 3 months. In order to increase the reactivity of the body, autovaccination is used for 30-40 days.
Vitamins
Vitamins are not taken for cystitis, since cystitis in most cases is accompanied by the development of a bacterial infection. Vitamins act as a nutrient medium and growth factors for microorganisms. You can only take vitamin C in double concentration - 1000 mg per day. It helps to normalize the immune system, increase endurance and resistance of the body, normalizes metabolic processes. In addition, it removes toxins and decay products to the outside, preventing the development of autoinfection, intoxication, and progression of the disease.
Physiotherapy treatment
Physiotherapy procedures such as ultrasound and infrared light are often used in the treatment of cystitis. They have a powerful antibacterial effect, penetrate deep into the tissues and promote rapid recovery of damaged areas. Electrical procedures are also used, which promote rapid tissue regeneration. They accelerate cellular and tissue metabolism and normalize excretory processes. Heat and cold procedures are not used, as they can worsen the condition and increase the inflammatory process.
Folk remedies
Traditional medicine offers a whole program aimed at normalizing the condition of the urinary organs. If you strictly follow the recommendations, you can get rid of cystitis in just 14 days. The program is presented in 4 main stages. Before carrying out, it is better to consult a doctor.
- Stage 1. To begin with, cleansing procedures are carried out for 2-3 days, allowing the body to be cleansed of infection, toxins, and to start recovery processes in it. Cleansing is best done between 5 and 7 am, since this is when the intestines are most active. Normally, the intestines should be released at this time, so the goal is to start the biological clock and further self-cleaning of the body.
Cleansing begins with a garlic enema. This is necessary due to the high prevalence of intestinal dysbacteriosis and enterobiasis, which also entail a violation of the normal microflora of the urogenital tract, especially in women.
- At the second stage, it is recommended to make a regular enema. To prepare it, take 2 liters of water and add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. This will create a biological acid-base balance. It is better to do the enema in the "Birch" pose.
- Stage 3. Then breathing exercises are performed. It allows normalizing the respiratory process first of all. It starts normal biochemical cycles in the body, normalizes blood circulation and metabolic processes. With regular breathing exercises, the body will cleanse itself, without the need for enemas and other measures. It also implies the need to perform it daily. Gymnastics will ensure the removal of excess slags and toxins, reduce the infectious and inflammatory process.
First of all, you need to learn how to do cleansing breathing. To do this, you need to take the deepest possible breath. Hold the air as long as possible. After that, do a gradual exhalation. Exhale some air, then hold your breath. Then exhale a little more and hold your breath again. Continue this about 5 times. At the end, you need to take a full, deepest possible breath in and out, repeat the exercise at least 5 times, gradually increasing the number. As you master cleansing breathing, you can add other static and dynamic breathing exercises. Qigong and hatha yoga complexes have proven themselves well.
- Stage 4. Then it is recommended to drink a restorative collection, which will not only relieve cystitis, but also restore the body as a whole. To prepare the decoction, take equal parts of oak bark, buckthorn bark, wormwood and tansy. Pour boiling water at the rate of a teaspoon of the mixture per 200 ml of boiling water. Infuse all night. Drink 100 ml warm in the morning.
Cranberries are also used in the treatment of cystitis and urethritis.
