Urologists consider cranberries their favorite, and this is absolutely justified. The northern berry has the ability to enhance the effectiveness of antibacterial drugs. And ultimately, the body copes with the infection much faster and more effectively. Therefore, cranberries for cystitis are an important assistant in the fight against the disease.

Cystitis is a disease of the urinary bladder, which is characterized by inflammatory processes in this organ. Cystitis has symptoms of an infectious disease, as well as inflammation of the epithelium of the urinary bladder, which causes disturbances in its functioning. Also, changes in urine sediment are observed, which is caused by dysfunction of the organ.

There are primary and secondary cystitis, acute and chronic forms of the disease, infectious and non-infectious varieties.

Such positive qualities of cranberries are influenced by their chemical composition. The fact is that the berry contains biologically highly active antioxidants - proanthocyanidins, which are included in the group of polyphenols. These substances help destroy all kinds of viruses and bacteria, including those responsible for the occurrence of cystitis. This occurs by destroying the structure of microbes, as a result of which they lose the ability to consolidate in the body and are excreted from it in a natural way. Proanthocyanidins also block the ability of viruses and bacteria to reproduce, which, naturally, helps stop the development of an infectious disease.

The most effective way to treat cystitis with cranberries is to drink freshly prepared juice or fruit drink. Before starting treatment, you need to consult with specialists, because not everyone is shown to drink cranberry drinks. It is contraindicated to drink juices and fruit drinks for people who suffer from various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. And even healthy people are not recommended to drink cranberry drinks on an empty stomach.

The presence of allergic reactions to cranberries should also stop the desire to use it as a medicinal potion. In case of urolithiasis and gout, you cannot drink fresh cranberry juice, but you can drink fruit drink in minimal quantities.

The disease affects both women and men. But as an independent disease, urethritis occurs only in men. Since in women, immediately after the appearance of symptoms of urethritis, inflammation of the walls of the bladder is observed - cystitis.

Cranberries have antiseptic and diuretic properties. This allows the substances in the berry to actively destroy harmful viruses and prevent bacteria from attaching to the walls of the urinary canal. At the same time, the strong diuretic effect contributes to the fact that pathogenic microorganisms are released from the affected organ naturally, simply washed out with a large amount of urine.
