Holagogum is a choleretic substance that has a plant base.
Indications of the holaghuma
It is used to get rid of such disorders:
- cholecystitis having chronic form;
- problems with the secretory function of the pancreas (can be used as an integral element in the combined treatment of diabetes mellitus);
- dyskinesia in the area of GVP;
- pancreatitis, having a chronic nature;
- postcholcystomic syndrome.
Release form
Release of the drug component occurs in capsules, 30 or 50 pieces inside the box.
Pharmacodynamics
The medicament has a combined composition and is produced on a plant basis. It stimulates the process of bile secretion, carried out by hepatocytes (under the influence of mint with turmeric), and helps to improve its outflow (under the influence of turmeric). Helps improve the function of the gallbladder responsible for its emptying. Helps dissolve cholesterol, which is an integral component of most bile calculi.
Among other things, Holagogum contributes to the stimulation of the exocrine activity of the pancreas. Pure alkaloid - a component of chelidonin - has an analgesic antispasmodic effect and soothes the central nervous system.
Together with the main effect, choleretic, the peppermint oil secreted from the bile has an antimicrobial effect. Spinach has multivitamin properties, and spinach saponin provokes the activity of intestinal peristalsis along with digestive glands.
Dosing and administration
Take the medicine should be 2 capsules three times a day during the first week. After this, three times a day, take a 1-nu capsule (in the period of 3-7 days). Use Holagogum is necessary with food. Stop the application is allowed after the characteristic signs disappear - a bitter taste in the mouth, heartburn, a feeling of fluid circulating inside the liver (when consuming high-calorie foods), and in addition, the heaviness in the lower region of the tongue and in the liver.
It is forbidden to use medication in adolescents under 16 years of age, if their weight is less than 45 kg.

Use of the holaghuma during pregnancy
Pregnant or lactating women should not be prescribed a medicine, because its main elements are forbidden to take in these periods because of the effect they have:
- celandine inhibits the development of the central nervous system and narrows the respiratory ducts, causing poisoning of the organism of the growing fetus;
- Curcuma increases uterine activity, which causes painful spasms in the lower abdomen, and miscarriage occurs. Fetal deformities or bleeding in women can also be noted (more rarely);
- Peppermint can cause heart failure in the fetus or slow down the heart rate (at about the 3rd trimester), and in addition reduce the amount of amniotic fluid. It can lower the values of blood pressure, cause loss of appetite and a feeling of drowsiness in a woman, as well as provoke premature birth.
Contraindications
Absolute contraindication is the intolerance of any drug element. This can lead to death due to anaphylaxis. That's why before starting to use drugs should be tested for allergies.
Among other contraindications:
- hepatic coma;
- obturation of ZHVP;
- inflammations that are reactive in nature (lesion localization does not matter);
- intoxications of chemical origin;
- hypotension or severe jumps in the values of ICP, IOP and AD, and in addition a high level of ICP and severe forms of suppuration (their localization is not important at the same time);
- gastritis with peptic ulcer;
- children under the age of 12;
- acute forms of pathologies, regardless of their genesis;
- diseases affecting the activity of the CAS or the respiratory system;
- high level of salt deposits and concrements, exceeding 5 mm;
- diseases of an autoimmune nature (in these cases it is possible to prescribe drugs only after a complete medical examination).
Overdose
Due to excess of the duration of the treatment cycle or overdose, such manifestations can develop:
- strong urge to vomit and nausea, which are usually noted during chemical intoxication;
- dryness of oral mucous membranes;
- a sharp increase in temperature to 40 degrees;
- loss of consciousness;
- the occurrence of allergic rashes (similar to a burn by any chemical component), and swelling of the extremities;
- a lack of focus on attention;
- decreased heart rate.
Interactions with other drugs
The drug potentiates the toxic effect exerted by artificial antibiotics, and in addition reduces the effectiveness of penicillins.
The celandine in the preparation potentiates the toxicity of alcoholic beverages.
Combination with melissa and St. John's wort leads to drying of the mucosa; Only with melissa - reduces the values of blood pressure to a critical level.
Simultaneous reception with tablets containing vitamin C, or citrus can cause poisoning and destroy the mucosa.
Storage conditions
Holagogum is required to be kept in a place that is closed from penetration of moisture. The temperature is below 25 ° C.

Holagogum is allowed to be used within 36 months of the manufacture of the therapeutic drug.
