Chlorophyllin-OZ is an extract made from plant materials.
Indications Chlorophyllin-OZ
It is used for local combined treatment of infections developing inside wounds of various origins (for example, purulent lesions, burns, various erosions (including uterine ones) and trophic ulcers), in otolaryngological practice and for washing areas affected by pus during dressings.
It is used orally for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by staphylococci.
Inhalations of the drug are used to get rid of lung abscesses, pneumonia, and also bronchitis.
The pronounced effect of the drug is found in relation to antibiotic-resistant microflora of microbes.
Release form
The drug is produced as a 1% alcohol-based solution in 0.1 l bottles. It is also sold as a 2% oil solution in 20 ml bottles.
Pharmacodynamics
The cineole component is an essential oil and makes up approximately 70% of the entire drug, so it is considered the main active element of the drug. It is extracted from eucalyptus leaves. The medicinal effect of cineole is enhanced by other components of the drug - such as myrtenol with tannins and pinenes.
The drug has a wide range of therapeutic activity - it has antiviral, fungicidal, antibacterial and antiprotozoal properties. Staphylococci have the greatest sensitivity to the drug.
After oral use, Chlorophyllin-OZ has a bronchodilatory and sedative effect, and at the same time increases appetite.
When applied locally, the substance stimulates recovery processes, reduces tissue swelling, and produces a wound-healing effect.
Dosing and administration
For local treatment, a 1% alcohol element is dissolved in a 0.25% procaine solution in a ratio of 1:5. During therapy for uterine erosion, a 2% oil substance should be used.
For oral use, 1% alcohol liquid (5 ml) must be dissolved in plain water (25-40 ml). This medicine is taken 30 minutes before meals, three times a day.
Use Chlorophyllin-OZ during pregnancy
The use of Chlorophyllin-OZ during pregnancy is permitted, but this should only happen with the permission of the attending physician (this is especially true in cases of oral administration of the substance).
