Hepilor is a painkiller, disinfectant, which is used to treat throat diseases. The therapeutic effect is provided by the properties of 3 active substances that are part of the drug.

Indications Hepilor

The drug is prescribed for the treatment of infections in the mouth and throat in diseases such as pharyngitis or laryngitis, as well as acute or chronic tonsillitis, gingivitis, stomatitis or aphthae.

Release form

The drug is available in the form of a spray and a solution. Spray in 50 ml bottles with an additional sprayer. The package contains 1 such bottle. The solution is also available in bottles - 100 ml. One package contains 1 bottle, as well as a measuring cup.

Pharmacodynamics

The preparation contains 3 main active components.

Hexetidine has bactericidal and antifungal properties. This substance effectively affects both aerobes and anaerobes, as well as gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial agents. At the same time, a pronounced antibacterial effect is exerted on anaerobic strains, but on aerobic strains this effect is much weaker - in this case, a bacteriostatic effect is exerted. The chemical structure of hexetidine is close to the substance thiamine (it promotes the growth of microbes). Thus, the antimicrobial effect of hexetidine is based on the competitive replacement of thiamine - thereby disrupting the process of development and reproduction of microbes.

Choline salicylate has antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.

Chlorobutanol has an analgesic effect, so it is used as an anesthetic for rinses, compresses and irrigations.

Pharmacokinetics

The active ingredients of Hepilor get on the oral mucosa and linger there. Their subsequent sequential release allows the drug to have a long-term therapeutic effect.

Dosing and administration

When using, do not allow the medicine to get into your eyes, and after the spraying/rinsing procedure, you should refrain from drinking water and eating for about half an hour. The treatment regimen and the duration of the course are determined by the doctor.

The solution used for rinsing should be measured out using a special measuring cup to 10 ml (approximately 2 teaspoons), then dissolved in warm water (50 ml). You need to do 2-4 rinses per day. In this case, swallowing the medicine is prohibited. The treatment course lasts 5 days.

The spray is prescribed for adults in a dosage of 1 spray 4-6 times a day. For children over 12 years old, the dosage is 1 spray 2-3 times a day. The duration of the treatment course should not exceed 5 days.

If signs of the disease continue to appear after a 5-day course of therapy or an increase in temperature is observed, another medicine should be selected.
