Galmanin is a white or almost white powder. In 100 grams of Halmanin powder contains 10 grams of zinc oxide and 2 grams of salicylic acid, this is the active substance Galmanin. Auxiliary substances are talc and potato starch. Powder Galmanin oily to the touch.

Indications of the galmanin

Indications for the use of Halmanin are sweating of the legs and the presence of infected lesions and pustular skin diseases. In medicine, this is called subacute eczema and hyperhidrosis.

Release form

Halmanine is produced in powder form. Packed in cans of 50 grams. Galmanin is used only for external use.

 

Pharmacodynamics

Halmanin is a combined preparation because it contains two active ingredients. Salicylic acid has a moderate anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and keratolytic effect, it also reduces the secretion of sweat glands. Zinc oxide has a drying and astringent effect, by denaturing proteins with the formation of albumin atoms, which reduce the phenomena of local inflammation.

Galmanin is very hygroscopic, it adsorbs secretions of sweat glands, exudate. It also reduces the friction of skin folds, protects the skin from various negative external influences.          

Pharmacokinetics

Neither salicylic acid nor zinc oxide penetrates the skin and does not show systemic action.

Dosing and administration

Galmanin is used only externally. The drug is applied as a powder on a thin layer on the affected areas, as well as on clean and dry skin 2-3 times a day. The powder can also be applied with a cotton swab. Treatment is carried out for 1 month.

When using Halmanin, one should be careful not to get the drug into the eyes, the respiratory tract, the lips, the mouth or the wound surface.

Use of the galmanin during pregnancy

During pregnancy and during breastfeeding, Halmanin is used only if the intended benefit to the mother may exceed the potential risk to the fetus and the baby. Before using, always consult a doctor!

Contraindications

Contraindications to use may be sensitivity to the components of the drug or wet areas of the affected skin. Also, Galmanin is not used for children under the age of 12 years.

Side effects of the galmanin
