Pharmacodynamics

The pharmacodynamic properties of Gamalate B6 are represented by the complex action of such components as 4-aminobutanoic acid, amino-β-hydroxybutyric acid and pyridoxine: these substances are simultaneously natural components of the structure of the brain tissues. Medpreparat has a neuro-regulatory effect on the reactions occurring in the brain, and also has a small calming and neurotonic effect.

 GABA is formed by the reaction of cleavage of glutamic acid. This process is enhanced by the action of GDK and pyridoxine. The end result is the formation of amino-β-hydroxybutyric acid, which is capable of increasing learning ability and stimulating memory.

 In addition, GABA can be re-transformed into an acid, which contributes to the additional supply of oxygen to the brain tissues.

 In brain functional disorders, deficiency of inhibition reactions is formed, which is associated with a decrease in the level of GABA, which acts as the main neurotransmitter of the inhibition process. The use of Gamalate B6 allows you to ensure that GABA from the outside gets to the nerve cells, and its sufficient amount can lead to the following effects:

  • transmission of information on neurons, suppression of excitation processes;
  • transfer and assimilation of glucose in the brain;
  • maintenance of cellular respiration and oxidative phosphorylation;
  • combining some amino acids and building proteins;
  • regulation of protein production in the brain.

Pharmacokinetics

 The components of the drug Gamalate B6 are mostly represented by physiological substances (GABA, γ-amino-β-hydroxybutyric acid and pyridoxine). Standard methods for studying pharmacokinetic properties are inapplicable in this case, in view of the impossibility of quantifying the external and internal components. The composition of the medication also does not make it possible to carry out the analysis using radiolabeled product, due to a significant radionavigation.
