Pharmacodynamics

All versions of the instructions for the drug Galium-Heel indicate that it “has an activating effect on the detoxifying functions of cellular enzyme systems and drainage processes in tissues.” And also stimulates the immune system.

It should be noted that Galium-Heel is included in the group of homeopathic medicines, however, the principle of its pharmacological action, compared to classical homeopathy (like is treated with like), is significantly modified and is based on the theory of homotoxins.

The founder of the pharmaceutical company Biologische Heilmittel Heel, German homeopathic physician Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg, created homotoxicology in the middle of the last century. According to this teaching, any disease is a consequence of the intoxication of the body with special substances - homotoxins. When the body loses the ability to self-regulate, the products of homotoxin metabolism lead to the development of certain pathological conditions. The main thing in the treatment of diseases is to neutralize homotoxins and cleanse the body of them, as well as activate the protective forces (immunity) of a person.

Antihomotoxic drugs (AHTs), to which the manufacturer refers Galium-Heel, specifically neutralize these metabolites. But there are currently no descriptions of the mechanisms of action of Galium-Heel (all similar drugs). Perhaps serious clinical and laboratory studies that would reveal the mechanism of action were simply not conducted. Indirect confirmation of this is the fact that (as noted in the instructions).

This drug contains 21 components, and the therapeutic effect occurs due to the combination and mutual enhancement of the properties of each of these components, which include plants, minerals and substances of animal origin.

In particular, the composition of Galium-Heel is as follows: Galium aparine (clingy bedstraw), Galium album (white bedstraw), Sedum acre (acid sedum), Sempervivum tectorum (roofing houseleek or rock rose), Clematis recta (clematis or straight clematis), Thuja occidentalis (western arborvitae), Caltha palustris (marsh marigold), Ononis spinosa (prickly horsetail), Juniperus communis (common juniper), Hedera helix (ivy), Betula alba (white birch), Saponaria officinalis (soapwort), Echinacea angustifolia (narrow-leaved coneflower), Urtica urens (stinging nettle), Calcium fluoratum (fluorite or fluorspar), Phosphorus (phosphorus), Aurum metallicum (metallic gold), Argentum metallicum (metallic silver), Acidum nitricum (aqueous solution of nitric acid), Apis mellifica (a preparation from a bee and its venom), Pyrogenium (pyrogenic nosode, a substance from pathologically altered protein fragments).
