Levonorgestrel is rapidly absorbed after administration. Bioavailability is 100%. The maximum concentration in the serum reaches 14.1 ± 7.7 ng / mg in 1.6 ± 0.7 hours. Studies of the effect of food intake on the action of Evadyr 2 have not been conducted.

Evadir 2 in equal proportions is excreted in urine and feces. Biotransformation of levonorgestrel is similar to biotransformation of steroids. The half-life is about 24 hours.

Evadir 2 is not intended for use in persons over 60 years of age and children. Influence of renal and hepatic insufficiency on the absorption of the drug has not been studied.

Dosing and administration

The first pill should be taken no later than 72 hours after a "dangerous" sexual intercourse, and the second one - 12 hours after the first one. Before the next menstruation, you need to use a condom.

Use Evadir 2 during pregnancy

Since Evadir 2 is a means for preventing pregnancy, it is not used during pregnancy. The already existing pregnancy of Evadir 2 does not interrupt. Studies have shown the relative safety of progestogens for the fetus. If the delay in menstruation exceeds 5 days, you need to exclude pregnancy, but most women after taking the drug menstruation comes on time.

Contraindications
