Ebermin is one of the newest drugs that inhibits the proliferation of microbes and stimulates the healing of tissues damaged by burns, wounds or skin erosions. The drug's action is so soft and gentle that it prevents the appearance of excessive scar tissue growth and contractures at the site of the wound surface.

Indications Ebermine

The product is prescribed for the treatment of burn injuries to the skin, both superficial and deep penetration, and it has been proven that the use of the drug significantly reduces the overall duration of tissue regeneration.

The ointment is used when there is a need for granulation of damaged tissues, as well as to accelerate the engraftment of skin grafts.

The main indications for the use of Ebermin are:

Release form

The drug is produced in the form of an external ointment, which is a light, homogeneous substance with a delicate creamy consistency and a subtle, distinctive odor.

The medicinal substance is available in 30 or 200 g vials. It contains 0.01 mg of human epidermal growth factor and 1 g of silver 2-sulfanylamidopyrimidine, supplemented with a hydrophilic filler.

Pharmacodynamics

The preparation has a peptide component that stimulates the migration and proliferation properties of fibroblast, keratinoid cells, as well as endothelium, which take an active part in the regeneration of the wound surface. This promotes normal epithelial proliferation, the scarring process with restoration of elastic tissue properties.

The growth factor is produced by DNA recombination; in terms of dynamics, it has extreme similarities with the endogenous factor, which is synthesized by the body.

Sulfanylamidopyrimidine supports the regenerative process with its extensive antibacterial action: it is effective against various types of microbes, as well as candidal fungi and dermatophytes.

The auxiliary substances present in the ointment help to moisturize the wound surface, reduce pain and maintain the required concentration of the drug in the treated area.

Ebermin promotes the process of natural collagenosis, preventing the formation of keloid cicatricial changes and tissue hypertrophy.

Pharmacokinetics

The ointment has an exclusively external local effect on the affected tissues: absorption of active substances into the circulatory system does not occur.

Dosing and administration

The drug can be used at almost any stage of burn and ulcerative lesions.

After mandatory antiseptic treatment of the wound surface, the wound is dried, then a medicinal substance is applied in a thin layer (approximately 1.5 mm). The treated area is covered with a gauze napkin or sterile bandage. The ointment is usually used once a day, but more frequent or rare use of the drug is also allowed.

If, when removing the bandage, it is found to be stuck to the wound surface, it is recommended to moisten the bandage with saline, furacilin solution, or another antiseptic.

If a bandage is not applied and wound healing occurs using an open method, the use of the ointment should be increased to 3-4 times a day.

The procedure of changing the dressing and applying the ointment should be carried out extremely carefully so as not to injure the forming granulation and epithelial tissue.

The duration of treatment is determined by many factors and is prescribed individually.
