Indications Dolgit

Dolgit is used for inflammations and degenerative processes in the musculoskeletal system. These diseases include symptoms of gout, arthritis, scapulohumeral periarthritis, Bechterew's disease, deforming osteoarthrosis, osteochondrosis with radicular syndrome, radiculitis, tendinitis, tendovaginitis, bursitis, lumbago, sciatica. In addition, the medications are indicated for use in muscle pain - myalgia, which is caused by rheumatic and non-rheumatic reasons. Medicines are indicated for injuries that do not cause a violation of the integrity of the skin - dislocations, sprains and ruptures of muscles, ligaments, as well as bruises, post-traumatic edema of soft tissues.

Release form

The medicine Dolgit is available as a gel and cream for external use. The gel is packaged in aluminum tubes, which have a protective varnish coating inside, twenty, fifty or one hundred grams. The tubes are closed with protective membranes and screwed with a plastic cap. Each tube is placed in a cardboard package along with an instruction leaflet. The cream is packaged and packed in a similar manner.

Dolgit gel is transparent and colorless, with a certain smell. One hundred grams of gel contains five grams of ibuprofen, which is the active substance. Also in the same amount of gel there is a certain content of isopropanol, dimethylhydroxymethyldioxolane, poloxamer a, b, c, medium-chain triglycerides, purified water, lavender essential oil, neroli essential oil.

Dolgit cream has a uniform and soft consistency, white or cream color. It has a slight specific smell. One hundred grams of cream contains five grams of ibuprofen, which is the active substance, as well as a certain amount of medium-chain triglycerides, purified water, glyceryl monostearate, propylene glycol, macrogol-100-stearate, macrogol-30-stearate, xanthan gum, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate, lavender oil, neroli oil.

Pharmacodynamics

The drugs have local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory effects. They are able to suppress the production of inflammatory mediators. They non-selectively block cyclooxygenase 1 and 2, have an inhibitory effect on the production of prostaglandins, as well as prostacyclin and thromboxane. The analgesic effect is most effective for pain caused by inflammation. Dolgit is able to relieve pain that occurs during rest and movement, and also increases the range of motion.

Ibuprofen is able to reduce the level of platelet aggregation in the area of the occurrence of inflammatory processes. The substance is also distinguished by the quality of reducing the migration of leukocytes and the release of lysosomal enzymes in the area of inflammation.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied locally, ibuprofen is able to penetrate into other subcutaneous layers and reach subcutaneous tissue, muscles, joints, synovial fluid and reach therapeutic concentrations there. Direct distribution of the active substance to the necessary tissues contributes to the therapeutic effect. The active substance is found in small quantities in the blood serum. The amount of ibuprofen that penetrates into the synovial fluid is up to two μg per ml.

Dosing and administration

For gel: the preparation is used externally. Five to ten centimeters of squeezed gel is applied to the required area of skin and rubbed in thoroughly and with light movements until the preparation is absorbed into the skin. This procedure should be carried out three to four times a day. The duration of the course of treatment is from two to three weeks.

For cream: the medication is intended for external use. It is applied three or four times a day to the desired area of skin with rubbing movements until the drug is absorbed into the skin. It is necessary to use a strip of cream four to ten centimeters long. The course of therapy is two to three weeks.

Use Dolgit during pregnancy

For gel: it is prohibited to use the drug during the third trimester of pregnancy.

For cream: the medicine should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

For gel:

  • The presence of hypersensitivity to the active or auxiliary substances, as well as other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
  • History of bronchial asthma.
  • Existing allergic reactions in the form of urticaria, rhinitis, which are caused by the use of acetylsalicylic acid.
  • The presence of weeping dermatoses, eczema, damage to the integrity of the skin, infected wounds and abrasions on the required area of the skin.
  • The patient's age is under twelve years.

For the cream:

  • All of the above, as well as the patient being under fourteen years of age.

Side effects Dolgit

Dolgit is well tolerated by patients.

  • Rare cases of side effects include local allergic reactions such as redness, swelling, rashes, itching, burning and tingling sensations.

Overdose
