Detoxopyrole is an antiviral drug from the category of antipyretic and analgesic drugs.

Indications Detoxopirol

It is used in the combined treatment of acute respiratory viral infections or influenza, as well as diseases that are accompanied by high temperatures: such as bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngolaryngitis, as well as inflammation in the upper respiratory tract.

It is also used as part of complex therapy for herpes.

Release form

The product is produced in tablets, in the amount of 12 pieces inside a blister pack. The aluminum bag contains 2 blisters. The box contains 1 bag with blister plates.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug has a combined effect. It has an antiviral, antipyretic, detoxifying, analgesic and hepatoprotective effect, as well as a weak anti-inflammatory effect. Detoxopyrole blocks the process of virus inclusion inside the host cell, thereby preventing the release of the virus genome inside it.

It also has a preventive effect against influenza infection caused by viruses from the RNA-containing group, and in addition, it demonstrates an antitoxic effect against influenza. It demonstrates antiviral properties against common herpes viruses (1 and 2), as well as herpes zoster. The drug inhibits the replication of the virus RNA, which prevents viral reproduction and leads to regression of the herpes rash.

Dosing and administration

Adults should take Detoxopirol orally, in a dose of 2 tablets, twice a day. They are swallowed whole, without chewing, and washed down with plain water.

The duration of such therapy is usually 1-2 weeks, taking into account the severity of the underlying pathology.

Use Detoxopirol during pregnancy

It is prohibited to prescribe Detoxopirol to pregnant and lactating women.

Contraindications

Main contraindication: severe intolerance to the active ingredients of the drug.

Side effects Detoxopirol

Occasionally, after taking the tablets, allergy symptoms are observed - discomfort in the stomach and dyspepsia.

Storage conditions

Detoxopyrole should be stored in a dark and dry place, out of the reach of small children. Temperature indicators are within 25°C.
