Indications of the detralexa
It is used to eliminate venolymphatic insufficiency in the leg area, which has a functional or organic origin. Her symptoms are pain and swelling, a feeling of heaviness in the legs, cramps and trophic disorders.
Also, the drug can be used to treat symptoms of a hemorrhoidal attack in an acute form.
Can be prescribed as part of a combination therapy for hemorrhoids or varicose veins :
- to reduce the severity of manifestations of venous insufficiency - in similar situations, along with tablets, a venotonizing gel or ointment is used;
- In the treatment of hemorrhoids, it is used together with ointments (this list includes Bezornil with Gepatrombin, and also ichthyol ointment) or rectal suppositories (Proctosan, Relief or Nigepan) to eliminate inflammation and pain, improve vascular tone, reduce the risk of thrombosis, and this cessation of bleeding.
Release form
The release occurs in tablets, 15 pieces each inside a blister plate. The box contains 2 or 4 such plates.
Pharmacodynamics
The drug has a venotonic and angioprotective effect, reduces venous extensibility and venostasis, increases the tone of venous membranes, strengthens the strength of capillaries and improves microcirculation along with lymphatic drainage. Increases the stability of the capillary walls relative to the mechanical effect on them.
Detralex helps to reduce the interaction of endothelium with leukocytes and leukocyte adhesion within the postcapillary venules, as a result of which the damaging effect of the inflammatory conductors on the venous membranes and valves of the venous valves decreases.
Pharmacokinetics
The half-life of the substance is 11 hours. Excretion of the active elements mainly occurs through the intestine. About 14% of the intake is excreted through the kidneys.
Dosing and administration
Use of tablets to treat varicose veins.
The size of the recommended portion for the treatment of venolymphatic insufficiency is 1 g / day - a two-time intake of the 1st tablet with a volume of 0.5 g. The drug must be consumed before meals - in the afternoon and in the evening.
The medication is prescribed exclusively for adults. To strengthen the medicinal effect, the doctor may prescribe an additional medicine with an external method of application - a gel or ointment.
The duration of treatment during varicose veins, as well as the need for a re-therapeutic course, is determined by the attending physician.
The use of Detralex in the process of removing hemorrhoids.
For the treatment of acute hemorrhoids, you need to take 6 tablets a day during the first 4 days of the course, and then, during the next 3 days, take 4 tablets per day. Medication is taken with food, dividing the daily portion into 2-3 uses.
Therapy for hemorrhoids of a chronic nature requires the daily intake of 4 tablets of drugs. It is required to drink them before eating, 2 pieces per use. After 7 days of treatment, it is allowed to reduce the portion size by half, and also to reduce the number of receptions up to 1-fold / day.
The duration of the use of tablets is determined by the degree of neglect of the pathology, as well as the effectiveness of the treatment. For the treatment of chronic form of the disease, doctors are usually recommended to use the drug courses lasting 2-3 months. To eliminate the acute form of the disease, short therapeutic courses lasting one week are used.
If signs of the disease persist after the end of these terms, you need to go to the examination to the proctologist.

Reviews
Detralex is considered an excellent remedy for hemorrhoids. Among its shortcomings, only the high cost of the drug is given, but given that it is highly effective and operates very quickly (often improved already after 2-3 days of use), many patients prefer to purchase it, rather than any analogues with a lower cost. The medication demonstrates a good result even with fatal hemorrhoids (also developing during pregnancy, during which most drugs are prohibited, and surgical operation is unacceptable).
Although in general in medical forums there are quite different reviews of the drug, there are many negative ones. But basically all the same patients speak about it positively.
When using drugs for the treatment of varicose veins, its effect develops more slowly, although the effect allows to significantly improve the patient's condition. Based on the opinions of specialists, the drug is highly effective, but at the same time:
- more noticeable its impact will be with the early onset of therapy (comments note that when you start taking drugs immediately after the appearance of the first symptoms of the pathology, it trails without a trace for a long time);
- the medicinal effect develops gradually, therefore, when the doctor prescribes to take the medication in the period of 2 months, the whole of the term should be taken, and then, to maintain the effect, repeat this course 1-2 times a year;
- in the treatment it is necessary to use a complex method - to achieve the desired result, one should remember about diet, compliance with the regime, the absence of physical overloads and the reception of other medications.
