Dandelion (kul'baba) is a plant familiar to us from childhood through "parachutes" and charming yellow wreaths. But did any of us ever think that a plant whose full name sounds like a "dandelion medicinal" has another purpose? After all, all parts of the plant have a great curative effect on the body, for which it was nicknamed "the elixir of life" in ancient times.
Pharmacodynamics
Dandelion is accepted for a variety of diseases, including heart and kidney disease, cholecystitis, diabetes, etc. In the treatment of bronchitis, however, it has not become very popular, although the plant has good mucolytic and expectorant properties. On its basis, you can make a couple of three useful and quite delicious recipe, which will certainly help with a difficult cough.
Dosing and administration
The easiest way to make a decoction of finely chopped dandelion rootlets. At 1 tablespoon. Plant raw materials we take 2 tbsp. Boiling water. We put the composition on a water bath for half an hour. Withdraw from the fire, we stand 15 more minutes. After that, the broth can be filtered and take 1 tablespoon. Up to five times a day.

Marmalade from dandelions from cough : At the height of the flowering of dandelions, we collect more flowers with stems, crush them and put them into a saucepan. Raw dandelion should occupy 2/3 of the container, the rest of it is filled with water. Boil the composition on a small fire for half an hour, and then 2 more hours insist in a warm place. When the composition is slightly cool, strain it and mix it in equal proportions with the sugar. We boil until thick.
Dandelion preserves : To prepare a healing dessert, we take only the yellow petals of the flowers, fill them with sugar and simmer on low heat until a drop of jam spreads on the surface of the plate. When coughing, add jam to tea or eat 1 tsp. Several times a day.
Honey from dandelions : We take yellow petals in quantity of 300 g. Rinse the raw material with a glass of water, bring to a boil and boil for no more than 3 minutes. Remove from heat, lightly cool and add chopped lemon slices, after removing the skin from it. The mixture is insisted for about 7 hours.
A kilogram of sugar is mixed with a glass of water and cooks a sparse syrup, in which we then add the dandelion petals and simmer for another 30-35 minutes. We pour out the composition into clean containers and apply it in its pure form or as an additive to tea or milk when coughing or for the prevention of colds. Treatment is carried out three times a day. Single dose - 1 tsp.

Contraindications
Absolute contraindications to the use of recipes based on dandelion are hypersensitivity to the plant and blockage of the bile ducts. With ulcerative gastrointestinal lesions and gastritis with increased acidity of gastric juice, care should be taken when applying similar treatment, but with low secretion the dandelion simultaneously stabilizes the level of acidity.

Storage conditions
