Dalmaxin effectively reduces inflammation of the mucous membranes, contributes to the restoration of damaged areas. 

Indications Dalmaxin

Dalmaxin is prescribed for inflammation and ulceration of the intestinal mucosa, cracks and erosions of the rectum or in the anus.

Also, the medication is used for inflammation and erosive lesions of the cervix, vagina, atrophic or viral form of colpitis.

Dalmaxin helps to effectively restore the mucosa after treatment with liquid nitrogen or high temperatures, as well as after other surgical treatments.

As part of complex treatment, Dalmaxin is used for persistent, toxic, viral or chronic active hepatitis, liver diseases. 

Release form

The medication is available in the form of suppositories, each containing 0.2 g of active ingredient - thiotriazoline. 

Pharmacodynamics

Dalmaxine stops the oxidation of organic compounds, stabilizes the cell membrane, has an anti-ischemic effect.

The active substance prevents the decay of hepatocytes (cells that have the ability to restore), reduces the amount of fat in the liver and dead cells, helps restore liver cells, and also improves protein, carbohydrate, pigmented, lipid metabolic processes in the body.

The drug stimulates the gallbladder, and also improves the chemical composition of bile.

When administered rectally or vaginally, a local anti-inflammatory effect is observed, Dalmaxin accelerates the healing process of wounds and ulcers on the mucous membranes of the urinary and reproductive system. Once absorbed into the blood, the drug has a similar effect on the stomach and intestinal mucosa. 

Pharmacokinetics

Medication when administered rectally the amount of active substance in the body reaches 60%. The preparation in a large concentration accumulates in the liver, spleen, rectum, kidneys, a small amount is observed in the small intestine and lungs.

In addition to local action, the drug quickly penetrates through the mucous membranes and penetrates into the blood. The highest index in the blood is fixed one and a half hours after the administration.

The half-life of the drug is about three hours, excretion occurs mainly with urine.  

Dosing and administration

Dalmaxin is administered rectally in case of hepatitis (chronic or acute) 1 suppository twice a day, treatment course - from two to four weeks.

With inflammation of the intestine - rectally 1 suppository twice a day, the course of treatment - from one to two weeks. 

With inflammation or erosion of the cervix, the vagina - vaginally one suppository per day (preferably at bedtime), the course of treatment - from one to two weeks.

Use Dalmaxin during pregnancy

Medication during pregnancy is not recommended, because there is no reliable data on the safety of use of the medication during this period.

A pregnant woman, Dalmaxin, can be appointed only by the attending physician in terms of vital signs.  

Contraindications

Dalmaxin is contraindicated in case of increased susceptibility of the organism to any components of the drug, kidney failure.

Overdose

Dalmaxin in elevated doses causes an increase in the level of sodium and potassium in the urine. With a decrease in dosage, side effects disappear without additional treatment.
