Dapril belongs to the drugs from the group of synthetic and natural chemical compounds, which are usually used as a preventive and therapeutic agent for high blood pressure or cardiac and renal insufficiency.
Dapril is effective at increased pressure, moderate renal or heart failure. At the beginning of treatment, the drug can cause a persistent reduction in blood pressure, which can affect the patient's condition (special attention should be paid to people whose work is related to the management of machinery or the car).
[1]
Pharmacodynamics
Dapril blocks the formation of an oligopeptide hormone, which has a vasoconstrictive effect. There is also a decrease in the total peripheral vascular resistance, pre- and postnagruzki on the heart, there is practically no effect on the rhythm of heartbeats and the minute volume of blood.
In addition, the resistance of the renal vessels decreases and blood circulation in the organ improves. In most cases, the pressure drop after taking the medication is noted after 1-2 hours (maximum after 6-9 hours).
The maintenance therapeutic effect is observed in 3-4 weeks from the beginning of treatment. The withdrawal syndrome does not develop.
During treatment, there is an increase in undemanding to physical exertion, while in patients with high blood pressure there is a decrease in pressure without the development of reflex tachycardia.
Pharmacokinetics
Dapril is absorbed by approximately 25-50%. The degree of absorption of the drug is not affected by eating.
In plasma, the drug reaches its maximum concentration after 6-8 hours.
There is no binding of drug substances with proteins and metabolism, the drug is excreted unchanged by the kidneys.
If the kidneys are disturbed, the period of excretion of the drug increases in accordance with the degree of functional disorders.
Dosing and administration
Dapril with high blood pressure is usually prescribed at the beginning of the course at 5 mg per day at a time. If the therapeutic effect is not observed, the dosage is increased to 10 mg once a day. The interval between increasing the dosage should be at least three weeks. In a day it is recommended to take no more than 40 mg per day.
For chronic heart failure, diuretics should be discontinued several days before Dapril is taken. The initial dosage is 2.5 mg per day. Depending on the individual response of the body, the dosage can be gradually increased. A day should take no more than 20 mg.
In old age and kidney failure (moderate) at the beginning of treatment is appointed 2.5 mg a day. As a rule, in this case, a specialist appoints a dosage individually (no more than 20 mg per day).
Use Dapril during pregnancy
The main active ingredient of Dapril is lisinopril, which has the ability to penetrate the placental barrier, therefore, the use of medication for pregnant women is contraindicated. Taking Dapril during pregnancy can adversely affect the development of the fetus. Taking medication in the first and second trimesters can lead to intrauterine death, skull hypoplasia, kidney failure and other disorders.
Contraindications
Dapril is contraindicated in case of increased susceptibility of the organism to some components of the medicine, Quincke's edema in the past, narrowing of the renal arteries, aortic walls, mitral valve, pregnancy, Connes syndrome, and children under 12 years.
In addition, the medication is not assigned to patients who are on artificial blood purification.

Side effects Dapril
Dapril can cause a violation of vascular tone, increased levels of creatinine and urea nitrogen in the blood (with narrowing of the renal artery or with simultaneous intake of diuretics).
There may also be adverse reactions from the respiratory system (dry cough, runny nose, dry mouth).
After taking the medication, you may experience a feeling of nausea, headaches, vomiting, stomach pain, lack of appetite, constipation, fatigue, dizziness, tinnitus, insomnia (in rare cases, cholestatic jaundice).
Perhaps redness of the skin, itching and other allergic reactions (in some cases, there is swelling of the Quincke on the face or limbs).
Overdose
Dapril, when taken in more than the recommended dose, causes a marked decrease in blood pressure, overdrying of the oral mucosa, renal failure, increased heart rate and respiration, dizziness, disturbance of the water-electrolyte balance, anxiety, irritability, drowsiness.
When an overdose of the drug recommended gastric lavage, reception enterosorbents.
Interactions with other drugs
With the simultaneous administration of Dapril with other drugs that reduce blood pressure (especially with diuretics), there is an increased hypotensive effect.
Non-steroidal preparations with anti-inflammatory effect (acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, etc.), sodium chloride with Dapril reduce the therapeutic effect of the latter.
Simultaneous reception of the drug with potassium or lithium leads to an elevated level of these substances in the blood.
Immunosuppressive drugs, antitumor agents, alopurinol, steroid hormones, procainimid in combination with Dapril lead to a decrease in the level of leukocytes.
Dapril increases the manifestation of alcohol poisoning.
Narcotic drugs, pain medications increase the therapeutic effect of Dapril.
With artificial blood purification, anaphylactic reactions are possible.
Storage conditions
Dapril should be stored in a place protected from moisture and sunlight, the storage temperature should not exceed 25 ° C.
