Bugomet is the optimal drug for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, which helps to avoid complications, most often leading to death of patients and improving the quality of their life. The drug normalizes blood pressure in diabetics.

Indications Bugomet

Diabetes mellitus type II (insulin independent), type I diabetes mellitus (insulin-dependent).

Release form

The baguette is available in the form of tablets in a shell.

Pharmacodynamics

Increases the susceptibility of the body to insulin. Does not affect the function of the pancreas. It enhances blood circulation in the liver and suppresses the production of glucose. Stabilizes weight. After the first month of taking Bagomet, weight falls by an average of 2% due to a decrease in appetite and absorption of carbohydrates. Doctors often hear from their patients a request to prescribe them Metformin for weight loss. Reduces oncological risks. Improves glucose intake by muscles.

Pharmacokinetics

The maximum concentration of Bugomet in the blood is reached after 2 hours. It accumulates in the salivary glands and kidneys. Excreted by the kidneys. Half-life period Bagomet 6.5 hours.

Dosing and administration

Take 2 - 3 tablets per day, not exceeding the dose of 3000 mg. The starting dose of metformin is 500-850 mg during or after a meal, with a gradual increase of 500-850 mg per week. The average dose is 2000-2500 mg.

When the patient passes from another drug to metformin, the previous tablets should be discontinued and metformin therapy started, except for the replacement of chloropramide (the medication is interrupted for 21 days, the drug is withdrawn from the body for a long time).

Simultaneous use of Bagometh preparation and insulin therapy

If the insulin dose is below 40 units per day, the usual dose of the drug per day is 2 tablets. Insulin dose is reduced (by 2 - 4 IU), regularly monitoring glucose.

Use Bugomet during pregnancy

Baguette is not used during pregnancy.

Diabetes is first diagnosed in 5% of pregnant women.

You may have diabetes during pregnancy if:

  1. Someone from your family: parents, brother, sister are sick with diabetes.
  2. Glucose in the blood before pregnancy, you were at the upper limit of the norm.
  3. You have extra weight.
  4. You suffer from hypertension.
  5. During the previous pregnancy, you have increased blood glucose.
  6. Your previous child had a weight above or below normal at birth.
  7. If during pregnancy you added more than 10 kg.
  8. You have a habitual miscarriage of pregnancy.

The danger for a child born to a mother with a diabetes first diagnosed during pregnancy is that it can be born too large and prone to jaundice in newborns. In patients with diabetes, pregnant women are more likely to have bladder and kidney infections that work hard to maintain a child's life and detoxify the body.

The difference between the treatment of diabetes of pregnant women and diabetes mellitus is that they are counter-indicative of hypoglycemic agents. Therefore, they are prescribed insulin. Diets in diabetics of pregnant women can not be directed to weight loss!

After giving birth, diabetes mellitus can disappear. That your child does not develop diabetes, be sure to breastfeed. Refuse after pregnancy from alcohol and sweet water.
