For the inhalation procedure, Berodual is diluted in a physiological solution (0.9% aqueous solution of sodium chloride). In its pure form, the drug is contraindicated for inhalation. The physiological solution and the medication should be at room temperature.
For ease of preparation of the medicine, it is recommended to use the measuring cap that comes with the drug. The concentration of the inhalation solution for children and adults is different.
For patients over 12 years old, measure out 4 ml of saline and 20 drops of bronchodilator. Shake the mixture and pour it into a nebulizer. The dosage for children is 1.5-2 times lower than for adults. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease and is determined by the attending physician.
Berodual proportions for inhalation
Berodual is a highly effective drug in the treatment of respiratory diseases. It is produced in the form of a liquid for inhalation. Before use, it is diluted with a physiological solution in the proportions required for the patient.
The specifics of use are individual for each patient, but there is a general dosage scheme. Thus, for assisted ventilation of the lungs for children from 6 to 12 years old and adults, 1-2.5 ml of Berodual and 3-4 ml of saline are used. For long-term treatment or acute attacks, 2.5-4 ml of the drug per 3-4 ml of sodium chloride.
For children under 6 years old, use 1 drop of bronchodilator per 2 kg of the child's weight. The medicine is diluted with 2-3 ml of saline. The daily dosage for infants should not exceed 10 drops of the medicine.
Berodual for inhalation with a nebulizer
One of the ways to use Berodual is procedures with a nebulizer. The device works on the basis of ultra-fine dispersion of medicinal components. Inhalations are carried out for respiratory diseases, bronchial asthma and other pathologies of the respiratory organs.
Berodual for inhalation with a nebulizer is diluted in 3-4 ml of saline solution (the dosage of all components is determined by the attending physician). The prepared liquid is poured into the device and the patient inhales it through a mask or breathing tube.
One of the advantages of such inhalations is that the ultra-small particles of the drug penetrate into all parts of the respiratory system and are quickly absorbed, providing the necessary therapeutic effect.
Saline solution with Berodual
Berodual is a combination drug with bronchodilator properties. It has several forms of release - a metered aerosol and a solution for inhalation. Procedures with the solution are carried out using a nebulizer. For inhalation, a diluted drug is used, since a concentrated stimulator of beta2-adrenoreceptors of the bronchi is dangerous for the body.
A saline solution is used to dilute the medication. Sodium chloride and berodual are mixed in the proportions prescribed by the doctor and poured into the nebulizer. Any other liquids: distilled water or, for example, drinking water - are prohibited for diluting the medication. Treatment procedures are indicated for a wide range of diseases of the respiratory system in both adults and children.
Ratio
Treatment with berodual begins with minimal dosages. The ratio of berodual and saline solution depends on the indications for use of the drug and the patient's age. On average, 1-4 ml of the drug is used per 3-4 ml of sodium chloride.
The prepared solution is used for inhalation through a nebulizer. Such procedures can be carried out even for the smallest patients. With the correct dosage, the active components quickly penetrate the respiratory system, providing a therapeutic effect and facilitating the breathing process.
Berodual with Lazolvan
For complex treatment of bronchitis, laryngitis and other respiratory diseases, inhalations with berodual and lazolvan may be prescribed. The procedures are performed alternately. First, berodual is mixed with saline, and then after 20-30 minutes, inhalation with lazolvan is performed, which is also diluted with sodium chloride.
Lazolvan is a mucolytic drug with the active component ambroxol hydrochloride. Increases mucus secretion in the respiratory tract and synthesis of pulmonary surfactant. Stimulates ciliary activity, improving the secretion and discharge of sputum.
The maximum concentration of the active substance in the blood plasma is reached in 30 minutes to 3 hours. About 90% of the drug binds to proteins, with increased concentrations observed in the lung tissue. The half-life is 7-12 hours. Metabolized in the liver, excreted by the kidneys with urine.
- Indications for use: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma with difficulty in expectorating sputum, bronchiectasis, respiratory distress syndrome in newborns and premature infants, as well as other respiratory diseases with the release of viscous sputum.
- The method of administration and dosage depend on the form of the drug and are selected by the attending physician, individually for each patient. Tablets and syrup are taken orally, the solution is used for inhalation and parenteral administration.
- The drug is not used in case of hypersensitivity to its components. Side effects are manifested by the following symptoms: nausea, heartburn, vomiting, skin allergic reactions. Cases of overdose have not been recorded. The use of Lazolvan during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
Release form: tablets, syrup in vials, solution for intravenous administration and solution for oral administration.
Berodual and Lazolvan belong to different pharmacological groups and work differently, so it is simply impossible to choose which drug is more effective or better. Inhalations with a mixture of both medications are most often prescribed for asthmatics and severe respiratory pathologies. In other cases, alternate procedures are performed with each drug at intervals of 20-30 minutes.
Proportions
Berodual and Lazolvan are effective in treating many respiratory diseases. They are used for inhalation. To achieve the maximum therapeutic effect, it is necessary to follow the proportions of the drugs prescribed by the doctor.
- The first procedure is with a bronchodilator. 5-10 drops of the drug are diluted in 2-4 ml of saline. The resulting liquid is poured into a nebulizer and inhaled.
- 20-30 minutes after the first inhalation, a procedure with a mucolytic is carried out. Lazolvan is diluted with sodium chloride in a 1:1 ratio.
The duration of treatment is 2-5 days. If the desired therapeutic effect is not achieved, the doctor may increase the dosage of the drugs or prescribe the combined use of Lazolvan and Berodual.
Pulmicort with Berodual
One of the most effective methods of treating obstructive bronchitis and other severe diseases of the bronchopulmonary system is inhalation with Pulmicort and Berodual. First, a procedure is carried out with a bronchial beta2-adrenoreceptor stimulant, and then supplemented with inhalations of a hormonal agent.
Pulmicort is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid for inhalation. It is used in the treatment of bronchial asthma, affects all links of the pathological process. It affects glucocorticosteroid receptors, reduces the production of cytokines. It has a bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory effect. It penetrates the layer of mucous secretion in the bronchi, is distributed throughout the tissues, creating increased concentrations in the lungs.
- Indications for use: bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The medicine is used by inhalation using a nebulizer or an inhaler bottle. The dosage and duration of treatment are individual for each patient and are determined by the attending physician.
- Side effects: oropharyngeal candidiasis, dry mouth, irritation of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. Nervousness, clouding of consciousness, hypofunction of the adrenal cortex, skin allergic reactions, angioedema.
- Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, patients under 6 months of age. With special caution, it is prescribed for active/inactive forms of pulmonary tuberculosis, respiratory diseases of fungal, viral or bacterial etiology, liver cirrhosis. Inhalations during pregnancy and lactation are possible if the expected benefit to the mother is higher than the potential risks to the baby.
- Overdose: acute overdose does not cause clinical symptoms. In case of chronic overdose, hypercorticism and suppression of adrenal function develop. Treatment is indicated by gradually reducing the dose of the drug until its complete withdrawal.
Release form: suspension for inhalation through a nebulizer in 2 ml ampoules, 20 pieces per package. Inhaler for 100, 200 doses with a dosing device and mouthpiece.
Berodual with Ambrobene
Another option for complex treatment of respiratory diseases is inhalation with Ambrobene and Berodual. The procedures are carried out both with each drug separately, diluting them with saline, and mixing both medications in one bottle. A nebulizer is used for inhalation. The dosage and duration of such treatment is determined by the attending physician and depends on the patient's age and the characteristics of the disease state.
Ambrobene is a mucolytic, stimulates prenatal lung development. It has expectorant, secretomotor and secretolytic properties. Increases the volume of mucous secretion in the alveoli and bronchi, promotes its removal.
The drug has a high absorption, the connection with blood plasma proteins is 80%. The active component - ambroxol hydrochloride penetrates the placental barrier and the BBB, is excreted in breast milk. Metabolizes in the liver, excreted by the kidneys.
- Indications for use: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other diseases with the release of viscous sputum. Prescribed to stimulate prenatal maturation of the lungs in case of the threat of premature birth. Used for respiratory distress syndrome in newborns and premature babies.
- The method of administration and dosage depend on the form of the drug, therefore they are individual for each patient and are determined by the attending physician.
- Side effects: headaches, dry mouth and respiratory tract, dysuria, gastralgia, nausea and vomiting, weakness, allergic reactions. Overdose has similar signs; gastric lavage and consumption of fatty foods are indicated for treatment.
- Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnancy and lactation, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. No cases of overdose have been recorded.
Release form: 75 mg retard capsules and 30 mg tablets, 10 and 20 pieces per package. Oral solution 7.5 mg/ml in 40 and 100 ml vials. Injection solution 15 mg in 2 ml ampoules, 5 pieces per package. Oral syrup 15 mg/5 ml in a 100 ml vial.
How many times a day and for how many days should I do inhalations with Berodual?
According to the instructions, inhalations with Berodual are carried out 2-3 times a day in the dosage prescribed by the doctor. The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days. Longer therapy leads to the fact that the active substances of the drug begin to wash out potassium from the body. To enhance the therapeutic effect of the bronchodilator, it is recommended to combine it with mucolytic drugs. In especially severe cases, hormonal agents are prescribed.
