Antidepressant of the serotonin reuptake inhibitor group. Contains the active substance sertraline, which inhibits the reuptake of serotonin in synapses.
- Indications for use: depression, anxiety, manic states, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic and post-traumatic stress disorders.
- Method of administration: orally 50 mg per day, in the morning or before bedtime. In the absence of a pronounced therapeutic effect, the dose can be increased only a week after the start of treatment.
- Side effects: dyspeptic disorders, increased sleepiness, dizziness, sexual dysfunction, dry mouth mucosa, temporary hearing and vision impairment.
- Contraindications: intolerance to sertraline and auxiliary components of the drug. Not prescribed for patients taking MAO inhibitors, as well as with significant changes in liver and urinary system function. Convulsions, pediatric practice, pregnancy and lactation.
Release form: oral capsules, 7 pieces per blister, 2 blisters per package.
Fluvoxamine
An SSRI antidepressant with the active substance fluvoxamine maleate. It has selective inhibition of the reuptake of serotonin by neurons. It affects the reuptake of dopamine and norepinephrine.
- Indications for use: depressive states of various etiologies, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety states.
- The method of application and dosage are determined by the attending physician, individually for each patient. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the therapeutic effect in the first week of treatment.
- Contraindications: intolerance to active and auxiliary components of the drug, liver failure, age of patients under 8 years, lactation. The drug is not prescribed simultaneously with drugs that inhibit MAO. It is prescribed with special caution to patients with convulsive syndrome, myocardial infarction in the anamnesis and during pregnancy.
- Side effects: allergic reactions, headaches, sleep disorders, increased nervousness, changes in taste and appetite, nausea, dry mouth, dyspeptic disorders. Overdose has similar symptoms. Stimulation of vomiting and gastric lavage with further symptomatic therapy are indicated for treatment.

Citalopram
An antidepressant whose mechanism of action is based on selective blockade of the reverse neuronal uptake of serotonin. Improves mood, relieves anxiety attacks, reduces feelings of fear and tension, obsessive states.
- Indications for use: depressive states of various origins, anxiety-depressive states, post-traumatic stress disorders, autonomic dysfunction, eating disorders, depressive states in elderly patients and in alcoholism.
- Method of administration and dosage: orally at an initial daily dosage of 10-20 mg with a gradual increase to 60 mg per day. A pronounced therapeutic effect develops on the 7th day of treatment.
- Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. It is prescribed with special caution during pregnancy and lactation.
- Side effects: headaches and dizziness, tremor of the extremities, increased sleepiness, insomnia, nervous excitement, decreased libido, increased fatigue. Also possible painful symptoms from the cardiovascular and other body systems. There is no specific antidote, treatment is symptomatic with drug withdrawal.
Dosage form: film-coated tablets.
Bupropion
Antidepressant-psychoanaleptic. Its therapeutic effect is due to the reduction of unpleasant sensations due to eating disorders, smoking cessation and other obsessive states.
- Indications for use: nicotine addiction, eating disorders, decreased appetite, anxiety and depressive states, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
- Method of administration: during the first week of treatment, take 150 mg at a time, regardless of food, then the dosage is reduced to 150 mg twice a day. The course of treatment is no more than 7 weeks.
- Contraindications: convulsions and epileptic seizures, pregnancy and lactation, patients under 18 years of age, chronic liver and kidney diseases. Not prescribed for patients with severe allergic and autoimmune reactions, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
- Side effects: increased dryness in the mouth, tremor of the extremities, inhibited or excited state, impaired coordination of movements, allergic rashes, mood lability, dyspeptic symptoms. Treatment is symptomatic.
- Overdose: disturbances in the cardiovascular system, uncontrollable drowsiness, nausea and vomiting, epileptic seizures, hallucinations.
The medicine is available in tablet and capsule form.
Afobazol
Antidepressant with the active component - selective anxiolytic. Does not have muscle relaxant properties, negative impact on concentration or memory. Reduces psychological discomfort in anxiety states.
- Indications for use: generalized anxiety states, neurasthenia, adjustment disorders and somatic diseases. Sleep disorders, eating disorders, relief of withdrawal syndrome or cessation of nicotine addiction.
- Method of administration: the medicine is taken after meals in a dosage that is selected individually for each patient. The duration of treatment is from 2 to 4 weeks.
- Side effects: allergic reactions and skin rashes, bowel disorders, nausea, vomiting.
- Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, lactose intolerance, pregnancy and lactation, patients under 18 years of age.
- Overdose: development of a pronounced sedative effect, increased drowsiness. There is no specific antidote; for emergency care, it is recommended to administer caffeine sodium benzoate 20%, 1 ml 2-3 times a day subcutaneously.
Release form: tablets in a blister pack of 10, 25, 50 or 100 tablets per pack.
Mianserin
Tetracyclic antidepressant from the group of piperazine-azepine compounds. Blocks serotonin and histamine H1 receptors. Has a sedative and hypnotic effect. Contains the active substance - mianserin hydrochloride.
- Indications for use: depressive states of various origins.
- Method of application: the initial dosage is 30-40 mg per day, the maximum daily dosage is up to 150 mg. A pronounced therapeutic effect develops within a month of regular therapy.
- Side effects: increased drowsiness, hypokinesia, stomatitis, liver dysfunction, anemia, peripheral edema. No cases of overdose have been recorded.
- Contraindications: severe liver dysfunction, pregnancy and lactation, patients under 18 years of age, hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, acute myocardial infarction, manic syndrome.
Mianserin is available as tablets for oral use.
Prozac
A drug with antidepressant properties. Contains the active substance fluoxetine, which inhibits the reuptake of serotonin. Does not bind to other receptors, increases the stimulating effect of serotonin and a pronounced antidepressant effect. Reduces anxiety and fear, improves mood.
- Indications for use: depressive states of various etiologies, nervous bulimia and other eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, premenstrual dysphoric syndrome.
- Method of administration: orally 20 mg per day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 60 mg.
- Side effects: increased heart rate, hot flashes, decreased blood pressure, vasculitis, dry mouth, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and taste, allergic reactions.
- Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pediatric practice. With special caution it is prescribed during pregnancy and lactation, for patients with suicidal thoughts.
- Overdose: increased drowsiness, convulsions, nausea and vomiting, increased heart rate, fainting, stupor. Specific antidote unknown, treatment symptomatic.
Prozac is available in capsules of 14 pieces per blister, 1-2 blisters per package.
