Aloe is quite an effective remedy for cough and runny nose. It is a relatively safe remedy, natural, and has virtually no side effects. It goes well with honey. Firstly, the healing effect of these two components is mutually enhanced. Secondly, honey neutralizes the bitter taste of aloe, and the mixture becomes more pleasant to the taste. It intensively saturates the body with vitamins and microelements, normalizes metabolism, restores the structure and functions of many human systems. In addition, such a mixture improves appetite, reduces fatigue, increases endurance and resistance. It has antibacterial properties, so the body is less susceptible to bacterial and viral infections.
When cutting aloe leaves, it is important to remember that the plant must be at least three years old. Only at this age does it acquire healing properties, accumulate various nutrients, vitamins and phytoncides. In order to extract the juice, you can squeeze it out with your hands, finely chop the leaf, or use a meat grinder. Leaves should be washed in warm water, never in boiling water. When preparing infusions or decoctions, they should never be brought to a boil. It is important to remember that the maximum healing properties are in the plant immediately after the juice has been squeezed out of it. The plant is not stored for future use.
There are many different recipes for preparing aloe with honey.
The first option is juice with honey, in which the juice is squeezed out of the leaves. After obtaining the juice, honey is added to it. At the rate of 1-2 tablespoons of honey per 100 ml of juice. Mix thoroughly until the honey is completely dissolved. Allow to brew for 1-2 hours, then drink 1 teaspoon three times a day.

For severe runny nose, a mixture of aloe and honey is also used. Simply squeeze out fresh aloe juice and add honey. There should be about 2 times more honey than aloe. Mix thoroughly and put 1-2 drops into the nose.
