Additional effect: chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine hydrochloride. The basis of pharmacodynamics is the active components.
Paracetamol. This substance is able to exert an analgesic effect and reduce body temperature. It has an analgesic effect due to an increase in the pain threshold. Antipyretic effect is achieved by affecting the center of thermoregulation, located in the hypothalamus.
Chlorpheniramine maleate. This component belongs to the number of antagonists of histamine H1 receptors. It allows to remove plugging of the nasal canal and hypersensitivity from the eyes.
Phenylephrine. It is a postsynaptic α-receptor agonist. Its action is aimed at stimulating the central nervous system. It has a direct effect and has a vasoconstrictive effect. Actively fights with swelling of the nasal mucosa and its sinuses.
Pharmacokinetics
When taken orally, paracetamol is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. Its maximum concentration in blood plasma is reached after 10-60 minutes after administration. Thanks to this, relief comes almost immediately. This is not the only property of pharmacokinetics. Paracetamol is able to distribute evenly in most body tissues. Half-life does not exceed 3 hours. Metabolism occurs in the liver. Almost 85% of the dose received is withdrawn in an associated form within a day.
Chlorpheniramine maleate. Absorption is slow, occurs through the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration of the drug in the body is reached after 6 hours after administration. Most of the substance is absorbed with plasma proteins. The half-life period ranges from 2-43 hours. Most of the substance is metabolized. After washing the stomach, you need to monitor the patient's condition and, if necessary, carry out symptomatic treatment. It is necessary to take sorbents and monitor the work of the respiratory system and circulation.
Interactions with other drugs
You can not combine this medication with sleeping pills. This can lead to inhibition of the central nervous system. A similar effect occurs when interacting with other drugs, in particular analgesics and MAO inhibitors.
The simultaneous use of antihistamines and Tylolfen may result in an atropine-like effect. A similar action occurs during the administration of antidepressants, antiparkinsonic agents and spasmolytic drugs. This can lead to dry mouth, urinary retention and constipation.
The use of Tylolphene together with furazolidone leads to an increase in adverse reactions. This can occur with the simultaneous use of the drug along with thyroid hormones and sympathomimetics.
With simultaneous use with nitrates, it is possible that their therapeutic effect is weakened. Barbiturates can reduce the antipyretic effect of Tylolfen.
Storage conditions

Finally, the third rule: the remedy should be away from children. If you comply with all the prescribed criteria, the drug will last for several years.

During the entire shelf life, special storage conditions must be observed. Pay attention to the appearance of the powder. It should not change color, smell and taste. Otherwise, this indicates that the storage is not correct. The product can not be kept in a wet place. It comes in the form of a powder in a bag. Under damp conditions, Tylolfen is able to get wet.
