Dalacin C refers to the antimicrobial drugs of the lincosamide group. The main active substance of the drug is clindomycin, which destroys certain types of bacteria, and is also resistant to the action of gastric juice.
Dalacin C with prolonged use requires regular monitoring of the liver and kidneys. Dosage of the drug is selected with caution, if in the past the patient had diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (especially inflammation of the intestinal mucosa).
Dalacin C can provoke inflammation of the intestine both during treatment and several weeks after the end of treatment (especially in old age and in depleted patients).
Indications Dalacin C
Dalatsin C is prescribed for infectious and inflammatory processes of ENT organs (pharyngitis, laryngitis, otitis, scarlet fever, etc.), respiratory organs (pneumonia, bronchitis, purulent inflammation of the lung, etc.), with infections on the skin and soft tissues (inflammation of the hair bulbs, purulent wounds, erysipelas, etc.), infectious diseases of bones or joints (osteomyelitis, septic arthritis), infections of female genital organs (inflammation of the mucous uterus, pus in the fallopian tubes, inflammation of the ovaries, etc.), infections of the abdominal cavity inflammation of the abdominal cavity), infections of the oral cavity.
Also, the medication is prescribed for preventive purposes as part of complex therapy after perforation of the intestine.

Dalacin C is available in the form of capsules for oral administration, granules for the preparation of syrup (for children) and solution for injection.
Pharmacodynamics
The active ingredient Dalacin C is clindamycin, which belongs to the group of lincoids.
The medication reduces the synthesis of the protein of the pathogenic flora, destroys some species of bacteria, and also prevents the reproduction of bacteria.

Pharmacokinetics
After the administration of Dalacine C intramuscularly after about two hours, the maximum concentration of the drug is observed in the blood plasma, with intravenous administration, after 15-20 minutes.
After taking medication in the form of capsules or syrup, almost complete absorption in the gastrointestinal tract is observed. In adults, after receiving the capsules, after about 40 minutes, the maximum concentration of clindamycin is observed in the blood serum.
After taking Dalacin C Syrup in serum, the maximum concentration of the active substance is observed after an hour.
The medication binds to proteins by 45-90%. Medication does not accumulate in the body.
Clindamycin well penetrates into many body fluids and tissues (with the exception of cerebrospinal fluid).
Metabolization of Dalacin C is 80% in the liver. Half-life from the body - from 2 to 4 hours. The drug is given mainly with a fecal mass, (about 20% is excreted in the urine).

Dosing and administration
Dalatsin C is appointed by the doctor, he also determines the most effective dosage of the drug taking into account the patient's condition, concomitant diseases, the pathogenicity of the flora, etc.
Usually, adult patients receive with complicated or severe infectious inflammatory processes of injection (up to 2.7 grams per day). In some cases, the dosage can be increased to 4.8 g.
With a mild form of inflammation, the drug is prescribed up to 1.8 grams per day.
Intramuscular injection of more than 600 mg of the drug is not recommended.
Orally, the drug is prescribed up to 450 mg every six hours. The course of treatment in each case is established by the attending physician (usually an average of 10 days).
To children the preparation is appointed or nominated in the form of flavored syrup. In a day, usually prescribed up to 25 mg per kg of body ashes. The daily dose should be divided into several receptions (3-4).
Children weighing less than 10kg receive 1 / 2ch. Three times a day. Children from 1 month of the drug is prescribed only in the extreme case (up to 40 mg / kg).

Side effects Dalacin C
Dalacin C may cause the following adverse reactions:

Overdose
Cases of an overdose of Dalacin C are not described. In case of taking elevated dosage of the drug, symptomatic treatment is recommended (blood purification by hemodialysis is not effective).

Interactions with other drugs
With the parallel use of Dalacin C with preparations of the aminoglycoside group, a broader spectrum of antibacterial activity is observed.
Do not use the drug concomitantly with erythromycin.
When Dalacin q is used simultaneously with muscle relaxants, the therapeutic effect of the latter increases.
Dalacin's injections are not prescribed simultaneously with barbiturates, ampicilin, calcium gluconate, phenytoin, magnesium sulfate, and euphilin.
