Pharmacodynamics

Pharmacodynamics Ibufen D is provided by the active substance of the drug ibuprofen, which blocks the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX) - a catalyst for the reaction of the conversion of arachidonic acid into neurohumoral mediators of inflammatory reactions of the prostaglandin organism. Due to the decrease in the activity of synthesis of neurotransmitters, the response of the proteolytic kallikrein-kinin system of the organism takes place, which takes part in the regulation and development of pathological conditions associated with pain syndrome, inflammation and increased synthesis of endogenous pyrogens as the temperature rises. Pharmacokinetics

After ingestion, the active ingredient Ibufen D (ibuprofen) is absorbed into the digestive tract; 90% of the substance binds to blood plasma proteins, reaching a maximum concentration after 45-90 minutes; penetrates into the synovial fluid, where the highest concentration is reached after about 2-3 hours, which leads to a decrease in body temperature to normal levels.

Pre-systemic and post-systemic metabolism of Ibufen D occurs in the liver; the products of transformation and partially unchanged ibuprofen (not more than 1%) are eliminated by the kidneys - with urine - and in minor amounts with bile (with feces). The drug does not accumulate in the body; half of the drug taken is withdrawn after 2-2.5 hours, complete elimination occurs within 24 hours.

Dosing and administration

Ibuphen D should be taken orally - after eating, with water. The dose is determined by the doctor individually and depends on the nature of the disease, the age of the child and the weight of his body.

Standard dosage for children 3-12 months (body weight from 5 to 9 kg) - 50 mg 3 times a day; for children from 1 year to 3 years (with a body weight of 10-15 kg) - 100 mg (three times a day); for children 4-6 years (body weight 16-20 kg) - 150 mg; for children 7-9 years old (body weight up to 30 kg) - 200 mg; for children 10-12 years old (body weight from 30 to 40 kg) - 300 mg 3 times a day. The maximum duration of treatment at elevated temperature is three days, with pain syndrome - five days.

Use Ibufen D during pregnancy

Use during pregnancy in the first and second trimesters is not recommended because of the lack of reliable data on its safety for the mother and fetus. The use of this drug in the last three months of pregnancy is contraindicated.

Contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Ibufen D are:

• individual hypersensitivity to the drug components (ibuprofen) and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs);
• an allergic reaction to acetylsalicylic acid in the anamnesis;
• exacerbation of peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease;
• severe liver and / or kidney dysfunction;
• reduced blood clotting (hemophilia, hemorrhagic diathesis);
• the last trimester of pregnancy;
• Children's age is up to 3 months.

Overdose

An overdose of Ibufen D leads to symptoms such as headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, tinnitus, acute renal failure, and a decrease in heart rate.

Interactions with other drugs

Do not take Ibufen D simultaneously with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and acetylsalicylic acid.

Ibuphen D causes a decrease in the effectiveness of drugs used in hypertension, as well as diuretics.

Ibufen D enhances the effect of anticoagulants and increases the threat of side effects of corticosteroids.
