Indications of the decodept

Medpreparat is designed to maintain hygiene and surgical disinfection of the skin surface, in particular, the hands of surgeons and medical workers of medical and preventive institutions before carrying out operations, injections or punctures.

Release form

Decocept is a transparent bluish liquid with a subtle perfume aroma.

 Antiseptic is represented by:

  • active components of isopropanol and n-propanol;
  • additional ingredients: benzahexonium chloride, purified water, emollient components (lanolin, lecithin), emulsifying and flavoring substances.

 The product is dispensed in polyethylene containers of 0.5 and 5 liters.

Pharmacodynamics

The medication is known for its detrimental effect on bacterial cells, viruses, fungi, as well as the causative agent of tuberculosis and microorganisms resistant to antibiotics. Decocept deactivates human immunodeficiency virus, causative agent of hepatitis B and C, herpes virus, influenza, adenovirus, papovavirus, etc.

 Decocept has the following useful properties:

  • reduces the number of transient microflora of the skin for half a minute by almost 99%;
  • destroys, among other things, resident microorganisms on the skin;
  • It acts quickly, keeping effect for 60 minutes on open skin, or 180 minutes under latex;
  • does not affect the processes of skin respiration, prevents the accumulation of moisture under the latex, does not cause irritation;
  • does not adversely affect the processes of water-fat metabolism in the skin;
  • the ingredients lanolin and lecithin, which are part of the drug, allow you to apply the product on the skin often enough (up to 40 times a day), regardless of the degree of sensitivity of the skin.

Pharmacokinetics

The medication is able to penetrate deep layers of the skin. For half a minute, the liquid kills 100% of transient microorganisms, and during 3 or 5 minutes, the resident flora is also destroyed. For three hours, the microbes on the surface of the hands are completely absent.

The rapidity of exposure is due to the presence of alcohols and benzazogeconium chloride in the preparation, which ensures a prolonged action of the solution.

Alcohols have the property of penetrating cell membranes, coagulating protein and deactivating enzymes.

Benzalkonium chloride is absorbed into the cells, worsening the permeability of the membrane wall. The presence of lanolin and lecithin components provides comfort to the skin.

Dosing and administration

The drug is used in a ready-made version for disinfecting the surface of the hands of surgical specialists, as well as skin patches of patients immediately before injection and infusion injections, or for household needs:

  • for the treatment of objects and skin surfaces during the care of sick household members, the elderly;
  • in trains, on vacation, on the road;
  • when dealing with animals, etc.

 Disinfection of the hands is done in the following way: the necessary amount of medication is poured into the palms and vigorously distributed over the entire surface of the hands, trying to penetrate the skin folds and under the fingernails. The treatment is carried out for half a minute.

For preventive purposes, in order to avoid the risk of contracting tuberculosis, the hands must be treated 2 times in a row, at least 1 minute.

If the hands are stained with purulent or other detachable, blood, etc., you should first carefully remove the contamination with a cloth (soaked in Decocept), then disinfect hands with a standard washing with the same antiseptic.

If the hands are soiled excessively, they are recommended for the beginning to be washed with running water and soap, and then treated with Decacept.

When preparing for a surgical procedure or procedure, the doctor first cleanses his hands with detergent, dries them with a napkin, after which Dexcept is applied to the dry surface of the hands and carefully rubbed for 3 minutes. Latex gloves should be worn only on dry skin.

Sites of injections or punctures can be disinfected with a napkin or a swab dipped in a decoept, for a quarter of a minute.

If surgery is to be performed, it is recommended that the skin be disinfected within 60 seconds.

If the patient's skin is excessively greasy, treatment with the drug should be increased to 10 minutes.
