Dvella belongs to the group of hormonal contraceptives, which are used for emergency contraception. 

Indications of the dingle

Dvella is prescribed for emergency contraception within five days of unprotected intercourse or in case of an unreliable method of contraception (skipping a pill, a defective condom, etc.).

Pharmacodynamics

DELLA is a synthetic modulator, the drug has a specific effect on progesterone receptors. The principle of action is based on the suspension of the natural process of ovulation in women. Dvella retards the rupture of the follicle, provided it is taken right before the date of the proposed ovulation.

The drug is highly compatible with progesterone, glucocorticosteroid receptors, lower compatibility is traced with androgen receptors, is completely incompatible with the mineral corticosteroid and the cestrogen receptors.

Pharmacokinetics

Dvella is quickly absorbed in the digestive tract, in the blood the maximum level of the active substance (vigilant acetate) is reached after 60 minutes.

Taking the drug along with fatty foods reduces the bioavailability of the drug by 45%.

Dosing and administration

Dwelling is taken within a few hours after sex (but no later than 5 days). One tablet of the drug is taken regardless of the phase of the menstrual cycle.

Contraindications

Dill is contraindicated in cases of increased susceptibility to some components of the drug, pregnancy, severe forms of hepatic or renal insufficiency, lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance, impaired glucose absorption, lactose, bronchial asthma in severe form, under 18 years of age.

Side effects of the dingle

Dvella can cause emotional disturbances, nausea, headache, abdominal pain, muscle pain, back, fatigue.

In rare cases, sleep, appetite, migraine, fever, redness of the skin, dry mouth, upset of the chair, colds, acne, itching, inflammation, discharge from the vagina, bleeding, infections of the genitourinary system, menstrual irregularities can occur.

Very rarely there is dehydration, trembling of limbs, fainting, attention disorder, reddening of the mucous eyes, perversion of smell, taste, photophobia, swelling of the upper respiratory tract, increased sexual desire.

Overdose

The drug Dvella practically does not have data on cases of overdose. Severe or undesirable effects of taking the drug in a single dose (200 mg) were not recorded. 

Interactions with other drugs

With the simultaneous administration of Dingle and rifampicin, phenobarbital, phenytoin, carbamazepine and other inducers of CYP 3A4, the concentration of ubiquitous blood may decrease.

Intraconazole, clarithromycin, nefazodone, ritonavir, ketoconazole, telithromycin may increase the effectiveness of the active substance Dvely in the body.

Admission of funds to increase the acidity of the stomach reduces the concentration of active substances in the body.

Simultaneous administration of digoxin, dabigatran etexilate and other substrates of P-glieoprotein with Dvella is not recommended.

The active substance binds to the receptors of progesterone, so that the simultaneous administration of Dvella and preparations containing progesterone can change the action of the agents. 

Dvaella is not taken concomitantly with other rapid contraceptive preparations, which contain levonorgestrel.

Storage conditions

DELLA must be stored in a place protected from sunlight and moisture, the temperature should not exceed 30 ° C.

The drug should be stored in an enclosed place, inaccessible to young children. 

Shelf life

Dill's preparation is suitable for three years from the date of manufacture. The drug can not be used after the expiry date or when stored incorrectly.
