Vasoket belongs to the group of angioprotectors - drugs that reduce the permeability of blood and lymph vessels and normalize biochemical processes in their walls.
International non-proprietary name - Diosmin, other trade names (synonyms): Dioflan, Flebodia 600, Phlebofa, Diovenor 600, Mediven.
Indications of the vasoket
The drug Vasoket is used for varicose veins of the lower limbs, chronic form of lymphovenous insufficiency of the lower extremities, acute hemorrhoids and exacerbation of chronic hemorrhoids, as well as violations of capillary microcirculation and increased fragility of capillaries.
Release form
Vasoket is available in tablet form - oblong tablets of 600 mg in a blister pack.
Pharmacodynamics
Vazoket contains the active substance diosmin - flavonoid plants of the genus Rutaceae and Vicia 7-rutinoside diosmetin, which has antioxidant properties, as well as phenolic glycoside peel of citrus hesperidin, which has P-vitamin properties and has a strengthening effect on capillaries.
The vasocete helps to reduce the extensibility and increase of the tone of veins and lymphatic vessels, reducing the stagnation of venous blood in the vascular system and activating the outflow of lymph.
The active substances of Vasoket's drug reduce the permeability of the walls of the vessels, reduce the inflammatory effect of leukocytes on the endothelium lining their inner surface and the migration of leukocytes into the parovascular tissues. Anti-inflammatory effect of the drug is also achieved by inhibiting lipid peroxidation, reducing the production of mediators of inflammation of thromboxane and prostaglandins.
The complex effect of Vasocet significantly reduces the intensity of manifestation of clinical symptoms of venous insufficiency.
Pharmacokinetics
The active substances of Vasoket are absorbed into the digestive tract, getting into the superficial and hollow veins of the lower extremities, as well as into many tissues and organs, including the liver, kidneys and lungs. The highest concentration in the blood plasma is observed 5 hours after the administration of the therapeutic dose, in the tissues of the vessels - after 9 hours.
The drug can persist in the body for four days. Almost 80% of the drug is excreted by the kidneys, the rest - through the intestines.
Dosing and administration
Vasoket tablets are taken orally. When varicose veins should be taken 1 tablet during the day (in the morning, after eating); the course of treatment is 2 months; in the case of a severe form of venous insufficiency - 5-6 months.
In acute hemorrhoids, 2-3 tablets per day (meal time) are prescribed, the course of administration is a week with possible prolongation of the drug intake within 1-2 months (1 tablet a day).
Overdose of Vasoket in the official instruction is not described.
