The oral contraceptive of Yarin is aimed at preventing the egg from ripening and letting it leave the follicle. In addition, the components of the contraceptive make the mucous plug in the cervix more dense and uniform, which prevents the penetration of spermatozoa into its cavity. Also, the endometrium becomes thinner, which prevents the attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterine cavity.

Indications Yarina

Indications for the use of Yarin are the same as in other oral contraceptives - prevention of unwanted pregnancy. Oral contraceptives are the most effective means of helping to prevent pregnancy. The oral contraceptives contain hormones similar to the female hormones estrogen and progesterone.

Despite the absence of ovulation, the menstrual cycle does not change, and even becomes more regular and painless, and if necessary, having previously agreed with the doctor, with the help of oral contraceptives it is possible to postpone the terms of the expected critical days.

Oral contraceptives are also used as a treatment for certain forms of acne. Also, taking Yarin reduces the risk of developing malignant tumors of the ovaries, uterus, large intestine, reduces the risk of developing pelvic organs.

Release form

The form of release Yarina - tablets, covered with a sheath in blisters for 21 pieces in cardboard boxes for 1 and 3 blisters. Yarina refers to monophasic oral contraceptives, each tablet contains a single dose of hormones, the main active components of ethinylestradiol (0.03 mg.) And drospirenone (3.00 mg.).

The complete composition of one tablet includes:

  • ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg,
  • drospirenone 3.00 mg.
  • lactose monohydrate;
  • starch from corn;
  • corn starch past pregelatinization;
  • magnesium stearate;
  • Povidone to 25.

There are also Yarina plus in pharmacies. The only difference from classical Yarina due to the presence of an additional component - calcium levomefolate. It is one of the active, easily digestible forms of folic acid (vitamin B9).

Folic acid and folate are especially necessary for a woman's body during pregnancy, when the nervous system of the fetus is laid, as well as during lactation. It is at this stage that folio-deficiency anemia can be observed. Yarina plus is just designed for recently given birth to women, protected from unwanted pregnancy, as well as women who plan a pregnancy in the future after the abolition of contraceptives. In addition to the above compound, there is no difference between the preparations of Yarin and Yarin plus each other. Also, it is worth remembering that the component levomefolat can reduce the effectiveness of phenytoin and methotrexate.

Pharmacodynamics

Pharmacodynamics of the drug Yarin is the action of estrogen-gestagenic hormones on the woman's body as a contraceptive drug. Contraceptive effect of the drug consists in suppressing effect on the process of ovulation and changes in the structure of the mucous secretion of the cervix, as a result of which it becomes denser and prevents the penetration of spermatozoa into the cervix. With a regular systematized admission, the probability of an unwanted pregnancy is 1 case per 100 women, of course, if misused, unsystematic admission, the probability of unwanted pregnancy may increase.

Also, hormones in combination oral contraceptives can affect the reproductive system as a whole, stabilizing the menstrual cycle, making it less painful and more regular. The percentage of blood loss decreases, which minimizes the risk of developing anemia, and this also helps reduce the risk of malignant tumors of the endometrium and ovaries.

Drospirenone, part of Yarin, helps to reduce body weight, normalizes water-salt metabolism in the body, which prevents the development of edema. Also, due to the action of drospirenone, the condition of the skin and hair is normalized - they become less fatty and the acne manifests less, and with prolonged admission, acne goes away at all.

By its action, drospirenone is an analog of natural progesterone, which in natural conditions is produced in the female body. This fact should be taken into account for women with hormone-dependent fluid retention in the body, women with acne and seborrhea.

Pharmacokinetics

The pharmacokinetics of Yarin consists in the reaction of the body to the main active ingredients in the formulation.

Drospirenone is almost immediately absorbed, and its concentration in the serum reaches a concentration of 37 ng / ml after 1-2 hours. Eating does not affect the percentage of the bioavailability of the hormone. In the blood, drospirenone combines with serum albumin, but does not bind to globulins, which bind sex hormones and hormones to the CSG. Only 3-5% of the entire dose of hormones are in the blood in a free state. After taking drospirenone in the body decays completely, in the plasma it is in the form of acid forms. It is excreted from the body in 2 phases, completely drospirenone is excreted from the body after 31 hours - through the gastrointestinal tract, with urine.

Ethinyl estradiol when absorbed into the body is absorbed completely and very quickly, the necessary concentration in the blood is achieved 1-2 hours after ingestion. Bioavailability of approximately 45%, but with the use of the drug with food, bioavailability can be reduced by 25%. With albumin blood, ethinyl estradiol binds to 98%, only 2% is in a free state. Metabolism of the compound occurs in the liver and small intestine. It is excreted in the form of metabolites by the urinary system and through the digestive tract during the day.

Ethnicity also does not affect the pharmacokinetics of drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol in the body of a woman.

Contraceptives from package No. 2 should be taken as long as the woman herself wishes. Restore the reception of tablets from package No. 1 only after a break of 7 days.

Before switching to other oral contraceptives, one should consult a gynecologist in order to choose the most suitable drug that will not harm the reproductive system and the body as a whole.

Use Yarina during pregnancy

The use of Yarin during pregnancy is unacceptable, as it can bring irreparable harm to the health of both women and the fetus. In general, with the correct systematic intake of Yarina, pregnancy occurs in exceptional cases. The cause of pregnancy may be an error in the scheme of taking the drug in the previous month, and pregnancy could well occur in a seven-day break before the start of the new course.

If the pregnancy with the reception of Yarin nevertheless has come and this fact is confirmed, then the first thing you need to refuse to take the drug at this stage and in the future. And also the first thing to do is to seek advice from a gynecologist. In the early stages of the hormones that are part of the drug Yarin will not harm the small body, so pregnancy does not need to be interrupted. It is best, as soon as pregnancy is confirmed, to start taking folic acid or special vitamin complexes, in which it is included.

The use of Yarin during pregnancy does not make sense, since pregnancy has already occurred, and long-term reception alone can lead to a disruption of the hormonal balance of a woman, which will affect the health as a whole.

Overdose

An overdose of Yarin's drug can occur if it is used as an emergency contraceptive or when taking more than 2 tablets at a time. In this case, there may be a feeling of nausea, vomiting, vomiting, discharge from the vagina with blood impurities, metrorrhagia (observed in young women of childbearing age). Vaginal bleeding is a consequence of excess in the blood of the norm of ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone. Other components of a dragee do not render on an organism of toxic action.

A special antidote in this case is not provided, therefore treatment is appointed or nominated proceeding from showing symptoms. If an overdose of the drug should also seek advice from a gynecologist, since an artificial sharp change in the hormonal background can cause irreparable harm to the female reproductive system, which in the future can lead to a violation of ovulation and, consequently, infertility.

If, for one reason or another, there were omissions in use for 2 or more days, then in no case should one take more than 2 Yarin's dragees at a time. In such a situation it is better to use additional barrier means of contraception - this will not cause such irreparable damage to the hormonal background and reproductive system of a woman.

Interactions with other drugs

The interaction of Yarin with other drugs sometimes leads to breakthrough uterine bleeding, as well as a decrease in the reliability of the contraceptive. With the use of drugs based on phenytoin, barbiturates, primidon, carbamazepine, rifampicin, oscarbazepime, topiramate, felbamate, griseofulvin, St. John's wort, sex hormones are cleared. Ritonavir and Nevirapine also affect the metabolism in the liver.

Also, the use of antibiotics of the genus penicillins and tetracyclines reduces the effectiveness of absorption of estrogens in the small intestine, which leads to a decrease in the concentration of ethinyl estradiol. In the process of taking medications that affect hepatic enzymes, barrier barriers should be used additionally within 28 days after cancellation.

With the simultaneous administration of Yarin and antibiotics, and after their cancellation within 7 days after the completion of the course of antibacterial drugs, it is also necessary to use barrier contraceptives.

The effectiveness of calcium levomefolate may decrease with the use of methotrexate, trimethoprim, sulfasalazine, triamterene, antiepileptic drugs (carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, valproic acid).

Before taking any medications alone, while taking Yarin, you should consult a doctor or gynecologist.
