Indications GA-40

The drug GA-40 is used in complex therapeutic treatment with:

• treatment of malignant formations, both in the preoperative and postoperative period, as well as during the application of chemotherapy;
• treatment of blood diseases - leukemia, namely myeloblast and megakaryoblast;
• treatment of benign tumors, namely myomas, cystoses, adenomas, fibroids and so on;
• treatment of allergic bronchitis and asthma;
• treatment of infectious diseases such as hepatitis (A, B, C), tuberculosis, prostatitis and sexually transmitted diseases (mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, toxoplasmosis);
• prevention of neoplasm (in patients with high risk).

Release form

The drug GA-40 is available in cardboard packages containing 5 bottles of lyophilized substance intended for dissolution with water for injection. One bottle contains 1 mg of the active ingredient - a complex plant polypeptide, the extract from the kupenia plant is annular. As auxiliary substances are: potassium dihydrogen phosphate and sodium chloride.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug GA-40 has the property of slowing down the multiplication of tumor cells. Its effect is also directed to correction of the human immune system, and specifically to humoral and cellular immunity. The drug regulates the formation of leukocytes, normalizing it, and also contributes to the correct ratio of T and B cells of the immune system. The antitumor effect is provided by stimulating the body's preparation to form an increased amount of cytokines, immunoglobulins, interferons and an antitumor factor. In this case, all, in contrast to chemotherapeutic drugs, the drug GA-40 acts only on the damaged cells, without affecting the normal.

When using the drug GA-40 in the blood, normalization of many parameters such as ESR, the number of leukocytes, blood glucose, creatinine, bilirubin, urea, liver enzymes, minerals.

The drug GA-40 reduces the negative effect of chemotherapeutic drugs, while increasing their therapeutic effect. It improves microcirculation of blood and promotes the rapid removal of toxic waste of chemotherapy from the body. Prevents the formation of metastases in the organs by reducing the expression of adhesion molecules of tumor cells.

It is impossible to study the pharmokokinetics of the drug because of the low content of amino acids in human plasma.

Dosing and administration

The drug GA-40 is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously with an insulin syringe. To do this, take a vial of lyophilized substance and dilute it with water for injection (5 ml). To do this, you need to release the rubber cap and insert a needle into the liquid bottle, then shake thoroughly. 

The dosage is calculated individually depending on the weight of the patient, and it is 0.01 ml / kg of body weight. For accurate and correct calculation it is convenient to use the scale of an insulin syringe on which the patient's weight is applied to the left, and the dosage in micrograms to the right. The course of treatment is 21 days. In a day, one injection is necessary. It is best to apply the drug after 18:00 and preferably at the same time. After the end of the course, if desired, you can repeat it in one to two weeks. The gap between the courses should be at least 3 days and not more than 14. Depending on the complexity of the disease and its stages, it is recommended to conduct three to ten courses. As a prophylaxis of the degeneration of benign tumors into malignant tumors, it is recommended to perform two to three courses per year.

Use GA-40 during pregnancy

The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation, as studies on this population have not been conducted.

Contraindications

Special contraindications to the use of the drug was not revealed. But it should not be used by pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children under three years of age, and also patients who have an allergic reaction to one of the components of the drug.

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of + 4-10 degrees. The shelf life of an unopened lyophilized substance is 12 months. In diluted with sterile water for injection, the drug should be stored on the top side shelf of the refrigerator for no more than 60 days. At room temperature, the drug should be stored for no longer than 14 days.
