Breathalyzer is a special indicator strip that is used for in vitro procedures that allow you to qualitatively and quickly determine by a visual semi-quantitative method (in 1 stage) the level of alcohol inside human saliva. This process takes place with the help of enzymatic oxidation.
The procedure takes place during the enzymatic oxidation of ethyl alcohol with the help of alcohol oxidase to the acetaldehyde component, followed by the formation of hydrogen peroxide. The latter, when reduced under the influence of peroxidase, causes the oxidation of the chromogen with the formation of a colored element. [1]

It is used to perform screening and assess alcohol indicators inside the human body (as a means of self-control or in case of need for emergency diagnostics).
Release form
The release of the substance is realized in the form of strips, which are packed in separate vacuum foil packs - 1 or 25 pieces each. The kit also includes a color identification scale along with a special desiccant.
Pharmacodynamics
The degree of intensity of staining of the sensory component of the strip is shown by the indicator of the alcohol content inside the body. Semi-quantitative assessment of the level of ethyl alcohol is carried out visually - a comparison of the degree of coloring of the sensory part and the corresponding areas of the color identification scale is made.
Storage conditions
The breathalyzer must be kept in a place protected from moisture penetration. Do not freeze test strips. Temperature indicators are in the range of + 2 / + 30 ° С.
Shelf life
Breathalyzer can be applied within a 6-month term from the date of manufacture of the substance.
