Release form

The release of the substance is realized in tablets, in the amount of 10 pieces inside a blister pack. A pack contains 3, 10 or 100 such packages.

Pharmacodynamics

Iron is an essential trace element needed by the human body. Iron is an integral part of compounds such as myoglobin with hemoglobin, and in addition to this variety of enzymes. Using Ferronal quickly leads to the elimination of iron deficiency, and also stimulates the processes of erythropoiesis.

Gluconate iron helps to quickly restore hemoglobin values in people with anemia of iron deficiency. The course taking of the drug leads to a gradual weakening of the clinical (such as feeling tired and weak, tachycardia and dizziness), as well as laboratory signs of anemia.

Pharmacokinetics

Iron gluconate has high absorption and bioavailability. Absorption mainly occurs through the duodenum, as well as the proximal region of the small intestine. Synthesis with protein is 90% and higher (the main part - with hemoglobin). The deposition is carried out in the form of hemosiderin or ferritin within hepatocytes and the system of macrophages; a small part is in the form of myoglobin inside the muscles.

Dosing and administration

The medication is taken orally - 60 minutes before a meal or after 2 hours after (this is required to prevent irritation of the gastrointestinal tract).

For adolescents from 12 years old and adults with therapy, it is necessary to take 4-6 tablets per day (in 2-3 uses), and to prevent iron deficiency - 2 tablets per day in 2 uses.

Children aged 6-12 years for treatment should take 1-3 tablets per day, and for prevention - 1-well pill per day.

The duration of therapy may be a maximum of six months.

For excretion of iron, hemodialysis procedures will be ineffective, but they can be used to speed up the excretion of a complex containing iron with deferoxamine.

Interactions with other drugs

Cimetidine, antacids, carbonate-containing drugs, phosphates with bicarbonates, and in addition etidrone with calcium and oxalates, as well as pancreatolipaza with pancreatin weaken the absorption of Ferronal; This list also includes some foods — vegetables, spinach, dairy products, egg yolks, cereals, and tea with coffee. Therefore, the medicine must be consumed within 60 minutes or after 120 minutes have passed since their use.

Vitamin C increases iron absorption.

The drug weakens the absorption of tetracyclines, penicillamine, and also fluoroquinolones with methyldopa. These funds must be consumed 120 minutes before or after using Ferronal.

Large portions of iron medications weaken the absorption inside the intestines of 2-valent zinc (therefore, such drugs should be consumed 120 minutes after the administration of iron medications).
