Indications Phenotropil
It is used to treat such disorders:
- a variety of diseases affecting the function of the central nervous system, in particular those in which there is a disorder of cerebral blood supply or metabolic processes;
- problems with attention and memory loss;
- individual forms of schizophrenia (eg, a feeling of apathy and lethargy as an incidental symptom of the disease);
- alcoholism;
- with increased physical or mental stress;
- depressive states of various levels of severity;
- stabilization biorhythm;
- obesity, which is of an alimentary-constitutional nature.
Release form
The release is made in tablets. Inside the box there are 10 or 30 pieces.

Pharmacodynamics
The medication helps to improve the learning process due to the positive effects on memory. Reduces the toxic properties of individual drugs, as well as the hypnotic effect of hexobarbital and ethyl alcohol. In addition, it helps to improve bad mood, reduces the pain threshold and increases physical performance.
Promotes improvement of cerebral blood supply, and also stabilizes and activates the processes of oxidation-reduction inside the brain. Together with this it helps to stabilize regional cerebrospinal circulation in ischemic zones. In addition, there is an improvement in blood supply in the legs.
Without affecting the bioelectrical brain activity of spontaneous nature and GABA parameters, the drug increases the values of dopamine with adrenaline, and besides this serotonin with norepinephrine. It helps to improve mood and general condition.
Prolonged use of the drug leads to the development of anorekigenic effect. Fenotropil possesses some immunostimulating properties, and besides it positively influences vision.
The drug does not have mutagenic or carcinogenic effects, and does not have an embryostatic effect.
The effect of drugs begins with the first use. The size of the critical dosage leading to death is 0.8 g.

Pharmacokinetics
After penetration into the gastrointestinal tract substance is fully and at high speed absorbed. The level of Cmax within the blood plasma is noted after 60 minutes, and the excretion of the unchanged component occurs after 3-5 hours - along with urine (about 40%), and also with bile and later (about 60%). Not subject to exchange processes.
Dosing and administration
Before using the medication, you need to consult a doctor to prescribe the appropriate dose and duration of the treatment cycle.
The drug is used orally - the pill is taken after meals, along with plain water. It is recommended to do this in the morning. A maximum of 0.75 g of substance is allowed per day. Once a day on average, you can use 0.1-0.25 or 0.2-0.3 g / day. If you exceed 0.1 g for a single dose, you need to divide it into 2 uses.
For the treatment of obesity, once a day, 0.1-0.2 g of medication (morning) should be used. The cycle lasts about 1-2 months.
To increase efficiency, take in the morning 0.1-0.2 g of the drug for 15 days.
Therapy usually lasts about 1 month (on average). The maximum permissible cycle time is 3 months. If necessary, a second course can be conducted (after 30 days).
Use Phenotropil during pregnancy
Do not prescribe Fentotropil to pregnant women or lactating women.
Contraindications
Contraindication is the presence of individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Extremely cautious preparation is used in children, and in addition people with organic kidney / liver lesions, elevated values of blood pressure and severe form of IHD. Along with this, very carefully it is prescribed to persons suffering from psychopathic disorders of an acute nature, or subjected to panic attacks.

Side effects Phenotropil
Most often, taking drugs causes the development of insomnia (usually in the case of using drugs for 6-8 hours before bedtime).
It is also possible to increase the indices of blood pressure, and in addition to the development of psychomotor type excitation or unexpected hot flushes.

Overdose
Intoxication can cause potentiation of negative symptoms. Cases of drug overdose have not yet been reported.

Interactions with other drugs
Phenotropil potentiates the effectiveness of medications that have an effect on the work of the central nervous system, and in addition a variety of antidepressants and other nootropic drugs.

Fenotropil is allowed to be kept in places that are closed from the access of young children and sunlight. The temperature is a maximum of 30 ° C.
