Pharmacodynamics

Testosterone is a direct participant in the processes of formation of seminal vesicles with testicles and the prostate, and at the same time participates in the development of sexual characteristics of secondary and tertiary character. In addition, this hormone affects the formation of a general bodily constitution and human sexual behavior. The element helps to strengthen sexual desire and potency, stimulates the activation of spermatogenesis processes, and also reduces the severity of menopausal manifestations in men.

Testosterone is an antagonist of the female sex hormone estrogen. Its influence leads to a slowing of the gonadotropic activity of the pituitary gland and the suppression of the operation of the mammary glands. A person undergoing treatment with this medication may have signs of masculinization.

The drug acts as an anabolic: it increases the rate of protein binding, helps to potentiate calcium retention inside bone tissues, increases hemoglobin levels inside the blood and muscle mass, and in addition activates the renal production of erythropoietin.

The introduction of exogenous testosterone to a healthy man results in suppression of the production of natural, endogenous testosterone. This is due to a decrease in LH release. The use of large portions of the drug leads to suppression of spermatogenesis, because it affects the reverse retardation of FSH release processes.

During therapy with testosterone in men who have functional pituitary insufficiency, potentiation of signs of hypogonadism is observed. But if impotence is not associated with hypogonadism, but with other factors, then using Omnadrena can not solve the problem.

Pharmacokinetics

Testosterone esters contained in the drug have a different rate of absorption and excretion, which causes a rapid drug exposure and a long-lasting effect (approximately 1 month) with 1-fold use. For example, the effect of testosterone propionate develops already during the 1st day after use, and isocapro- nate with testosterone phenylpropionate begins to act only after 24 hours from the time of use.

The caprolate of testosterone has an effect on that time interval, when the effect of phenylpropionate and isocaproton of testosterone is no longer recorded.

Protein synthesis of the drug inside the plasma is 98%. Exchange processes occur inside the liver; 17-ketosteroids are formed, which are further synthesized with sulfuric or glucuronic acid. After that, they are excreted in the urine.

Approximately 90% of the drug is excreted by the kidneys in the form of a metabolic product, and another 6% by the intestine, in an unchanged state.

The testosterone half-life is within 10-100 minutes.

At the same time, the frequency of the procedure is determined by the degree of manifestation of insufficiency of the function of the genital glands of the patient.

In the case of the male climax, Omnadren is applied 1-fold for 14 days. Further, when the effect of drug use becomes noticeable, it is required to transfer the patient to the use of the drug 1-fold for 21 days.

During the treatment of infertility, a man requires the introduction of 2 ml of the drug 1-fold for 2 weeks. When there is pain during the treatment in the penis during erection, the treatment course should be canceled.

Reviews

Omnadren receives quite a variety of reviews. For example, some of the patients who used the medication talk about the development of certain side effects caused by the characteristics of the medication.

Among the observations - long-term therapy causes disorders of the liver function, fluid retention and the appearance of pronounced acne on the epidermis. Along with this, because of the wide availability of the drug, it is often injected in too large portions - in an attempt to build muscle mass. Excessive excess of the allowable portion leads to the appearance of negative symptoms.
