Indications Indapene

Release form

Indapen sr

Pharmacodynamics

The constituent element of Indapen is the substance indapamide, a diuretic of the thiazidopod type.

This element reduces the contractile activity of the vascular layer of smooth muscle by affecting the transmembrane process of ion exchange, and in addition, by stimulating the binding of PG E2.

Use of the drug leads to a gradual decrease in blood pressure. Indapamide has a more pronounced antihypertensive effect than a diuretic; at the same time, it should be noted that a decrease in blood pressure values is observed only in persons with AH.

Along with this, the drug can weaken left ventricular hypertrophy. The drug has no pronounced effect on the processes of glucose metabolism and lipid status.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, the medicine is well absorbed, entering the intestine. Peak values within the blood plasma are noted after 1-2 hours after drug use.

About 75% of the drug element undergoes protein synthesis inside the plasma. The drug achieves equilibrium values by the 4th day of treatment.

Excretion of the active substance LS mainly proceeds through the kidneys, in the form of inactive metabolic products, and about 20-30% is excreted through the intestine. The half-life is approximately 15 hours.

Dosing and administration

The medicine is used inside, without binding to eating. Taking the entire daily portion is usually recommended for 1 time - often this method is carried out in the morning.

The duration of the treatment cycle and the size of the dosage portions are selected by the treating doctor.

Usually for a day take the first pill medication. It can be used for long-term therapy.

During treatment with the use of drugs, you must constantly monitor the magnesium and calcium and sodium with potassium levels inside the plasma, as well as adjust the values of EBV, if necessary.

The medication does not have an antidote. When poisoning should be performed gastric lavage and give the patient enterosorbents. Also, in case of overdose, it is necessary to monitor VEB values and monitor diuresis, and in addition to adjust electrolyte performance, if necessary. At the same time, during intoxication procedures are carried out, with the help of which the respiratory function and CCC activity are maintained.

Interactions with other drugs

Indapen can not be combined with other medicines that potentiate the process of potassium excretion.
