Betagis stabilizes microcirculation processes in the region of the inner ear.
Indications of the betaghisa
It is used to eliminate vertigo, having a different origin, but also for the treatment of padalexia.
Release form
The release occurs in tablets with a volume of 16 mg inside the blister plates, 10 pieces each. In the box there are 3 plates. Also the blister can contain 18 tablets. Such packages in the pack - 5.
Pharmacodynamics
The medicine is an artificially derived histamine analogue. Has antagonistic properties with respect to the histamine endings of H1, as well as H3. In addition, it has a weak activity with respect to the endings of H2. By blocking the activity of H3 endings, as well as reducing their number, the drug potentiates the release and exchange of histamine. Along with this, there is an activation of microcirculation within the basilar arteries, and besides this, the intensification of circulatory processes in the inner ear.
By suppressing diaminoksidazu, the substance helps block the processes of disintegration of internal histamine, and in addition stimulates the effect on the receptors in the region of the inner ear. All this leads to the development of the influence of pre-capillary sphincters, and also promotes the acceleration and increase of the volumes of precapillary circulation inside the labyrinth with the cochlea. Stabilization of blood circulation inside the labyrinth also leads to the normalization of endolymphatic pressure inside the structure of the inner ear. This helps to reduce the subjective feeling of dizziness. Together with this, betagistin potentiates the expression of blood circulation inside the cerebrospinal structures.
The medicine cures paroxysmal symptoms of dizziness of the vestibular nature, having a different nature, and besides eliminates a variety of cochlear disorders and ear noises or ringing, preventing deafness. Betagistin also has a powerful central effect. The blocking of the H3 terminations stabilizes the transmission carried out inside the nuclear synaptic neurons in the vestibular nerve region of the brain stem cells, shortening the recovery period of the labyrinth activity after performing neurrectomy.
Betagis is a histamine-type compound. It does not affect the strength of the capillary walls, smooth muscle tone, the secretion of gastric juice, as well as the systemic parameters of blood pressure.
Pharmacokinetics
The medicine is quickly absorbed inside the digestive tract; when eating, this process slows down. The bioavailability index is 100%.
Betagistin is almost entirely subjected to hepatic biotransformation, as a result of which pyridylacetic acid is formed. Peak values within urine and blood are noted 60 minutes after the application of the tablet.
Excretion of the drug is carried out by the kidneys, and also (a small part) - through the intestine.
Dosing and administration
Use the medication after eating. For adults, during course therapy, the daily dosage is 24-48 mg (three times the 0.5-1 tablets).
The duration of the course is selected by the doctor. It can last for a minimum of 21 days and a maximum of several months.

A sufficient amount of information regarding the use of Betagis in pregnant women is not available. It is known that data based on the results of animal tests is too small to assess the effect of the drug on pregnancy and fetal development, as well as labor activity and the postnatal period. The probability of complications risk for a person is not known. It is forbidden to prescribe medication to pregnant women, except for vital situations.
There is no information as to whether the drug penetrates into the mother's milk. Animal tests on this parameter were not conducted. It is necessary to correlate the benefits of using drugs for women with the risk of complications for the baby, and in addition to the benefits of breastfeeding.

Reviews
Betaghis has an effect on the cause of dizziness - the medicine increases the strength of blood circulation inside the basilar arteries, as well as the supply of blood to the inner ear, which improves the vestibular apparatus.
Patients' feedback shows that the drug not only cleans up dizziness, but also reduces ear noise, and also improves hearing.
Some patients consider Betagys a very high-quality drug with few side-effects, but the second part (mostly people with complications after a stroke or cerebral atherosclerosis) notes that the drug only makes it feel better, reducing the symptoms of the disease, and it must be used constantly.
