Semlopin

Semlopin is a medicinal product with a predominant effect on blood vessels. It is a calcium antagonist.

Indications of the semlopina

The drug is available in tablets, fourteen pieces per blister, two plates per package.

Pharmacodynamics

Active active substance of Semlopin - Amlodipine. A characteristic for him is the action of blocking the intake of calcium ions to the heart muscle.

Pharmacokinetics

After the start of treatment, there is a gradual adsorption of Selopin in the blood serum and the achievement there (within six to twelve hours) of the level of its maximum concentration. Bioavailability in this case will be about 64 - 80%.
The half-life period is approximately 35 to 50 hours from the time of the start of the admission. After a week of regularly taking Semlopin, his concentration in the body becomes the same. Dosing and administration

Contraindications

Overdose

Interactions with other drugs

Semlopin can be combined with treatment with other drugs (for example, with NSAIDs, antibiotics, thiazide diuretics, antidiabetic drugs, nitroglycerin, etc.)
Digoxin. Semlopin does not change the concentration of digoxin and its excretion by the kidneys.
The joint use of cimetidine with semlopin does not change the pharmacokinetics of the latter.
The interaction of Semlopin with Warfarin, does not change the effect of the latter on the coagulability of the blood.
Grapefruit juice increases the concentration of the drug, but does not affect the effectiveness of pressure reduction.
