Nasodrene is a medicine used to treat pathologies that have arisen inside the nasal cavity.

Indications of the nasodrena

It is used to eliminate inflammatory lesions in the nasal sinus (in acute form or with relapses of chronic disease) - among them are purulent or catarrhal cysts, etmoiditis with gonorrhea and sphenoiditis, or sinusitis of a combined type.

Also used to treat acute stages of purulent forms of sinusitis, against which there are symptoms of generalized infection or orbital complications (with Nasodrene combined with different antibiotics).

Release form

The release is carried out in the form of a lyophilizate from which the intranasal solution is made.

Pharmacodynamics

The medicine has a local effect on the nasal mucosa, contributing to the strengthening of the reflex secretion from it of the secret - around the sinuses of the nose, and also directly in its cavity. The secret to secretion are sulfur-mucosal substances. The secretion begins several minutes after the application of the drug and can last about 2 hours. Due to the stimulation of the secretion, a natural washout of the sinuses of the nose occurs.

Nasodrene does not lead to the development of significant residual symptoms of irritation of the nasal mucosa, but in addition does not have a systemic effect.

Dosing and administration

Instructions for use:

  • unscrew the cap from the bottle and get a cork from it;
  • open the bottle and break off its upper half;
  • pour all the solvent inside the bottle with powder;
  • put the nozzle on the flask, then shake it until the powder completely dissolves;
  • remove the protective cap from the nozzle;
  • perform 2-3 test presses in the air.

Hold the head upright, inject the nozzle into each of the nostrils and inject by pressing the sprayer.

During each injection, 2-3 drops of LS are sprayed (a single dose is thus 0.13 ml). The prepared solution is enough for 38 servings of spray.

The solution manufactured by this method is used once a day - 1 injection is performed in each of the nostrils.

It is recommended to perform the procedure every other day, but if necessary, you can use the drug every day.

One treatment course lasts 12-16 days if the procedures are performed in a day or 6-8 days if the medicine is used every day.

To get a therapeutic effect, it is enough to perform 6-8 injections, but the reduction of headaches or their complete elimination can occur even after 3-5 injections of the solution.

Use of the nasodrena during pregnancy

It is forbidden to prescribe Nasodrene to pregnant or lactating mothers, because there is no information on the safety of use of drugs in these periods.

Contraindications

The main contraindications:

  • sinusitis in the paranasal area (cystic-polyposic character);
  • rhinosinusopathy of allergic genesis;
  • symptoms of acute allergies in the nasal mucosa, as well as on the face;
  • 2-3 stages of development of hypertension.
