Pharmacodynamics
The active component of the spray is an artificial SCS. It stimulates the production of an element lipomodulin (a substance that slows the activity of the enzyme phospholipase A), and besides this interferes with the binding of arachidonic acid. As a result, inflammatory exudation decreases, as well as lymphokine binding, inhibition of neutrophil accumulation takes place in the vascular walls.
There is also suppression of granulation and infiltration processes - this is facilitated by the fact that beclomethasone can suppress the movement of macrophages. There is a decrease in puffiness, the amount of mucus produced decreases, mucociliary movement improves.
The drug has good tolerability, even in the case of prolonged use. Symptoms of the disease are weakened 2-3 days after the start of the course.
Pharmacokinetics
After administration through inhalation, the substance is slightly absorbed into the body. A small part of the active ingredient that enters the digestive tract is destroyed inside the liver.
Part of the drug is excreted after 15 hours, while about 90% of the component is subjected to protein synthesis inside the plasma. Excretion occurs with feces, and the remainder of the substance is excreted by the kidneys.
Dosing and administration
The spray is administered by the intranasal method.
Starting from the age of 12, the medicine is prescribed in a dosage of 1-2 injections into each of the nostrils, twice per day.
