Indications of the mebendazole
It is used to eliminate such diseases as enterobiosis with gnathostomosis, ankylostomiasis with trichurosis, ascariasis with alveococcosis, angiovulosis with capillarosis, and in addition helminthiases of mixed type, echinococcosis, trichinosis, nematodes of multiple nature and teniodosis.

When administered orally, the drug is almost not absorbed inside the digestive tract. Excretion occurs with feces. A small part of the substance, after penetration into the blood, is subjected to protein synthesis (90%) inside the plasma, and in addition to hepatic metabolism.
Dosing and administration
Take Mebendazole tablets should be taken orally, washed down with plain water.
When enterobiosis: should be taken a one-time dose of 100 mg. If there is a high risk of secondary invasion, an additional 100 mg should be taken after 2-4 weeks. Also, the treatment course is required to pass through all persons who have been in contact with the patient at this time.

Use of the mebendazole during pregnancy

Interactions with other drugs
Mebendazole reduces the insulin requirement in people who have diabetes.
It is forbidden to combine drugs with lipophilic type compounds.
Medications that induce metabolic processes, as well as carbamazepine, reduce the indices of the drug, while cimetidine, on the contrary, increases them.
Shelf life
Mebendazole is allowed to be used for 4 years. The drug in the form of Mebendazole Amed can be used in the period of 2 years.
