Pharmacodynamics

Econazole is an antimycotic that is part of a group of derivatives of imidazole. Has a wide range of antibacterial and antimycotic effects.

The drug acts by suppressing the processes of biosynthesis of ergosterol, as well as changes in the lipid structure of fungal membranes. Has a bactericidal and fungicidal effect. Use Econazole during pregnancy

No tests were conducted regarding the use of the gel during pregnancy. Since there is a systemic absorption of drugs, it is not recommended to prescribe it to pregnant women.

There is no information as to whether nitrate econazole passes into mother's milk, so when lactating it is allowed to use only if the possible benefit for the patient exceeds the risk of fetal side effects. Apply the gel to the areas around the nipples and the nipples themselves are prohibited.
