Pharmacodynamics
The medicine contains trimazolin with phenylephrine, which have vasoconstrictive properties - it is due to the ability to narrow the blood vessels the medicine reduces the swelling of the nasal mucosa. This allows you to normalize breathing through the nose and reduce pressure in the middle ear and sinus. The dosage form has a viscous consistency, as a result of which a prolonged effect appears on the nasal mucosa.
Dosing and administration
Children's drops for children from 3 years must be digested three times a day, 2 drops in each of the nostrils.
Children from 7 years of age and adults are dripped 4 times a day, 1-3 drops into each of the nostrils.
The duration of use of the drug should be a maximum of 7 days, after which it is required to take a break in several days.
Use Adrianol during pregnancy
Testing on the safety of use of Adranol during pregnancy was not conducted, so it is not recommended to use the medication in this period.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- pheochromocytoma;
- individual intolerance to phenylephrine, trimazoline, and also auxiliary substances;
- glaucoma;
- IHD;
- elevated blood pressure;
- thyrotoxicosis;
- severe form of kidney pathology;
- atrophic form of rhinitis;
- atherosclerosis.

Side effects Adrianol
Due to the use of drops, such adverse reactions can occur:
- local: pain, burning or dryness in the nasal mucosa, as well as her edema. In addition, there are abundant discharge from the nose and a disorder of taste sensitivity;
- systemic: the appearance of headaches and dizziness, and in addition nausea, increased blood pressure, the development of tachycardia and allergies;
- prolonged use can lead to nasal congestion, a runny nose, as well as atrophy of the nasal mucosa.
Overdose
Among the manifestations of drug overdose: rapid fatigue, the appearance of nausea or dizziness, increased blood pressure, insomnia or fever, the development of tachycardia or reflex bradycardia.
Interactions with other drugs
When combined with MAO inhibitors or antidepressants, the risk of increasing blood pressure may increase.

Shelf life
Adrianol is allowed to be used for 3 years from the date of manufacture of the medicine.
