Yarrow herb is a hemostatic drug of plant origin.
Indications Yarrow herbs
It is used in the treatment of the following diseases:
- bleeding from the nose, lungs or uterus (during inflammation or fibroids), as well as hemorrhoidal or intestinal;
- hypoacid form of gastritis;
- ulcerative pathology in the duodenum or stomach;
- ulcerative colitis of spastic type;
- bloating;
- pathologies in the area of the biliary tract or liver (such as cholecystitis, hepatitis or cholangitis);
- diseases affecting the bladder or kidneys (including urethritis with cystitis, as well as pyelonephritis with glomerulonephritis) - in this case, the drug is used in combination with other drugs.
Release form
Released in the form of herbs in packs of 35 or 50 g. Also in the form of powdered raw materials, in filter bags of 1.5 g, 10 or 20 pieces inside the pack. Another form of release is crushed plant raw materials, in packs of 20, 30, 35, and also 50 or 70 g.
Dosing and administration
Recipe for making tincture No. 1:
Take the medicinal mixture (1.5 tablespoons) and pour boiled water (200 ml) over it. Then close the container with a lid and leave it in a water bath for 15 minutes. After that, cool the decoction (about 45 minutes), then strain it and squeeze out the remainder. The resulting tincture should be brought to a volume of 200 ml - add the required amount of boiled water to it.
The tincture should be drunk warm, 2-3 times a day, half an hour before meals. The dose for teenagers from 14 years old and adults is 1/3-0.5 glass, and for children aged 12-14 years - a quarter of a glass.
Recipe for making tincture #2:
Take 2 filter bags with the mixture and pour boiling water (100 ml) over them, then leave to infuse for 15-20 minutes.
Drink the tincture 2-3 times a day (warm) before meals (half an hour). Dosage for adolescents over 14 years old and adults is 100 ml, for children aged 12-14 years - 50 ml. Shake the medicine before taking.
The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor, individually for each person.

Use Yarrow herbs during pregnancy
Pregnant women are prohibited from prescribing the drug, as it increases uterine tone.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- increased blood clotting;
- tendency to develop blood clots;
- intolerance to the bioactive elements of the drug or other plants included in the category of Asteraceae (Asteraceae family).
Side effects Yarrow herbs
The use of the drug may cause allergic reactions (including rashes with hyperemia and itching, as well as skin swelling). In case of side effects, it is necessary to stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.
Overdose
Overdose may cause allergic reactions (including rashes with hyperemia), as well as nausea and dizziness.
Storage conditions
Yarrow herb should be stored in a place inaccessible to children, at a temperature of no more than 25°C. The finished tincture should be kept away from light in a cool, dark place.

Shelf life
Yarrow herb can be used for a period of 3 years from the date of release of the medicine. At the same time, the finished infusion is allowed to be stored for a maximum of 2 days.
