Viprosal is a painkiller with anti-inflammatory properties. It is prescribed for external treatment. It has a local effect with pronounced irritant and analgesic activity.

The drug irritates highly sensitive epidermal receptors and subcutaneous layers. The drug stimulates vasodilation and improves tissue trophism.

Camphor has analgesic properties; turpentine together with phenolic acid have a disinfectant effect. Phenolic acid also has keratolytic activity.

Indications Viprosala B

It is used in case of pain in people with arthritis of various origins. In addition, it is prescribed for pain of rheumatic nature and for therapy of radiculitis, neuralgia, sciatica and myalgia.

The ointment can also be used for lumbago (intense pain in the lumbar region).

Release form

The drug is released in the form of an ointment - inside tubes of 30, 50 or 75 g. The box contains 1 tube of ointment.

Pharmacokinetics

The ointment is absorbed at high speed, causing slight skin hyperemia, burning and a feeling of warmth a few minutes after application. The analgesic effect develops after 20-30 minutes and lasts for 1.5-2 hours.

Dosing and administration

The treatment with the drug must be performed externally - the ointment is applied to the areas of the epidermis where pain is felt.

Before the procedure, you need to wash the skin areas that will be treated with warm water. The medicine is used once a day. In this case, the dosage is 5-10 g, which corresponds to 1-2 teaspoons.

The ointment is rubbed into the epidermis gradually. If the pain is too severe, the medicine is used twice a day until the pain disappears. Usually the treatment cycle lasts 10 days.

It is extremely important to remember to thoroughly wash your hands after finishing the treatment procedures so that the ointment does not come into contact with the mucous membranes or eyes.

Use Viprosala B during pregnancy

Viprosal is prohibited for use during breastfeeding and pregnancy.

Contraindications

Main contraindications:

  • epidermal pathologies (for example, diseases of allergic or purulent nature);
  • pulmonary tuberculosis in the active phase;
  • feverish state;
  • severe liver or kidney dysfunction;
  • cachexia;
  • severe form of coronary and intracerebral blood flow insufficiency;
  • tendency to develop angiospasms;
  • severe personal intolerance to the components of the drug.

Side effects Viprosala B

When using Viprosal, signs of allergy may appear - in such a situation, it is necessary to stop taking the medication and wash the ointment off the skin.

Epidermal symptoms are occasionally observed, which disappear immediately after stopping use of the drug.

Overdose

If too much ointment is applied to the skin, irritation may occur.

Storage conditions

Viprosal should be stored in a place closed to small children. The ointment should not be frozen. Temperature values should not exceed 25°C.
