Vilozen is an immunostimulant, belongs to the group of immunomodulators and cytokines. It promotes proliferative and differentiating processes in relation to T-lymphocytes, has immunomodulatory activity, suppresses the formation of reagins and the processes of development of intolerance of a delayed nature. [ 1 ]
The drug is used for local treatment, unlike thymalin with taktivin and thymoptin. It is prescribed for instillation into the nose or for nasal inhalation. [ 2 ]
Indications Vilosen
It is used to treat lesions of the upper respiratory tract of an allergic nature ( hay fever, infectious-allergic rhinosinusitis).
Release form
The product is sold in the form of a nasal powder, inside ampoules of 20 mg. The box contains 10 such ampoules or 5 bottles equipped with a dropper cap.
Dosing and administration
The drug is used locally - in the form of intranasal inhalation or nasal drops. 20 mg of the substance (1 bottle or ampoule) should be administered per day. Before administration, boiled water or 0.9% NaCl (2 ml) should be added to the ampoule with the drug. Vilozen should be instilled 5-7 drops into each nostril, 5 times a day, or a single intranasal inhalation should be performed.
In case of pollinosis, the medicine is used when the first clinical signs appear. To prevent the development of pollinosis, the medicine is used 1 week before the possible development of clinical manifestations of the disease. The therapeutic cycle lasts 14-20 days. If necessary, it can be repeated.

There is no information regarding the use of the drug in pediatrics.
Use Vilosen during pregnancy
There is no information regarding the use of Vilozen during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated to prescribe the medication in case of severe intolerance to its components.
Side effects Vilosen
During the first week of using the drug, short-term cephalalgia may occur and the feeling of nasal congestion may increase. Allergy symptoms may be noted.
Storage conditions
Vilozen should be stored in a dark place, out of reach of children. Temperature indicators – no more than 25°C.
Shelf life
Vilozen can be used for a period of 36 months from the date of release of the pharmaceutical product. The shelf life of the prepared solution is 1 day.
Analogues
An analogue of the drug is Timalin.
