Vazoket belongs to the group of angioprotectors - drugs that reduce the permeability of blood and lymphatic vessels and normalize biochemical processes in their walls.

International nonproprietary name: Diosmin, other trade names (synonyms): Dioflan, Phlebodia 600, Phlebofa, Diovenor 600, Mediven.

Indications Vasoqueta

The drug Vazoket is used for varicose veins of the lower extremities, chronic lymphovenous insufficiency of the lower extremities, acute hemorrhoids and exacerbation of chronic hemorrhoids, as well as for disorders of capillary microcirculation and increased fragility of capillaries.

Release form

Vazoket is available in tablet form - oblong tablets of 600 mg in blister packaging.

Pharmacodynamics

Vazoket contains the active substance diosmin - a flavonoid of plants of the genus Rutaceae and Vicia 7-rutinoside diosmetin, which has antioxidant properties, as well as the phenolic glycoside of citrus peel hesperidin, which has P-vitamin properties and has a strengthening effect on capillaries.

Vazoket helps to reduce the distensibility and increase the tone of veins and lymphatic vessels, reducing venous blood congestion in the vascular system and activating lymph outflow.

The active ingredients of the drug Vazoket reduce the permeability of the vessel walls, reduce the inflammatory effect of leukocytes on the endothelium lining their inner surface and the migration of leukocytes into paravascular tissues. The anti-inflammatory effect of the drug is also achieved by inhibiting lipid peroxidation, reducing the production of inflammation mediators thromboxane and prostaglandins.

The complex effect of Vazoket significantly reduces the intensity of clinical symptoms of venous circulatory insufficiency.

Pharmacokinetics

The active substances of Vazoket are absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, entering the superficial and hollow veins of the lower extremities, as well as many tissues and organs, including the liver, kidneys and lungs. The highest concentration in the blood plasma is noted 5 hours after taking the therapeutic dose, in the vascular tissues - after 9 hours.

The drug can remain in the body for four days. Almost 80% of the drug is excreted by the kidneys, the rest - through the intestines.

Dosing and administration

Vazoket tablets are taken orally. In case of varicose veins, take 1 tablet during the day (in the morning, after meals); the course of treatment is 2 months; in case of severe venous insufficiency - 5-6 months.

For acute hemorrhoids, 2-3 tablets per day are prescribed (meal time), the course of treatment is a week with a possible extension of the drug intake for 1-2 months (1 tablet per day).

Overdose of the drug Vazoket is not described in the official instructions.
