Vasavital

One of the newest drugs Vasavital® is a complex remedy for improving general and cerebral circulation, increasing mental and physical activity, protecting the nervous system from exhaustion. The drug can also be used as a preventive measure against strokes and heart attacks.

Indications Vasavital

The drug Vasavital can be prescribed by a doctor for both therapeutic and prophylactic purposes for the following diseases and conditions:

• cerebrovascular insufficiency, which is accompanied by impaired concentration, poor memory, poor perception, and decreased general intelligence;
• early manifestations of Alzheimer's disease;
• neurosensory disorders (sensation of ringing or noise in the ears, hearing loss, dizziness);
• diabetic retinopathy;
• arteriopathy of the vessels of the legs (disorders of tissue trophism, pain and lameness);
• Raynaud's syndrome.

The drug can also be used by completely healthy people as a preventative measure against vascular pathologies of the brain.

Release form

The drug Vasavital is produced in the form of dense white-green gelatin capsules filled with a beige-colored powdery substance (sometimes with dark and light inclusions).

The package contains 30 capsules, which include: ginkgo biloba extract, plant pollen, rutin, ascorbic acid, nicotinic acid, and B vitamins.

Pharmacodynamics

Vasavital is a medicinal product of vitamin and plant origin containing an extract from the leafy part of the ginkgo biloba plant. The therapeutic effectiveness of the extract is due to the presence of flavonoid glycosides and terpenes - ginkgolides and bilobalides, in addition, the presence of proanthocyanidins and organic acids, which enhance the biological availability of the components of the drug. The main pharmacological action of Vasavital is its ability to inhibit the reaction of free radical oxidation: such a reaction is considered one of the causes of tissue damage in ischemic and hypoxic processes.

Vasavital helps to form vasoactive and inflammatory mediators. This explains its property to activate blood circulation and prevent the formation of edema. The drug reduces the risk of blood clots, stabilizes cellular metabolism, increases the amount of ATP in the cerebral cortex, activates metabolic processes between dopamine and norepinephrine. Accelerates the process of cholinergic transmission, improves blood flow in tissues and vessels.

The therapeutic effect of flower pollen is due to the content of biologically active components (amino acid components, unsaturated fatty acids) that are necessary for cell regeneration. The presence of pollen determines the anti-sclerotic effect of the drug, its ability to control cholesterol levels in the body.

The action of rutin and quercetin is aimed at increasing the elasticity of vascular walls.

The properties of flavonoids included in the preparation include some antioxidant, antihistamine and detoxifying effects.

The presence of ascorbic acid helps to increase the body's immune response, prevent blood clots, and deliver nutrition and oxygen to tissues.

Nicotinic acid takes care of energy processes.

B vitamins promote the establishment of carbohydrate metabolism, coordination of peripheral nerve functions, and regulation of oxidation and reduction processes.

Thanks to vitamins, the basic metabolism is stabilized, the walls of blood vessels are strengthened, and microcirculation is improved.

Pharmacokinetics

The pharmacokinetics of Vasavital have not been studied.

Dosing and administration

Vasavital is usually used with food, taking one capsule three times a day. The duration of treatment is from 1 to 3 months, therapy can be carried out 2 times during the year.

The effectiveness of the drug is evident within a week of starting treatment. After 3 weeks of using Vasavital, positive dynamics are already evident.

There are no studies on the use of this medication in children. Therefore, the use of Vazavital in children is not recommended.

Use Vasavital during pregnancy

Due to the lack of reliable studies on the use of the drug Vasavital during pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is better to refrain from using the drug during these periods.

Contraindications

Among the known contraindications to the use of the drug Vasavital, one can highlight an allergic predisposition of the body to some components of the drug.

There are no data on other contraindications.

Side effects Vasavital

Side effects of the drug Vasavital occur relatively rarely. The most common of them are:

• allergic reactions (urticaria, skin rash, itching);
• dyspeptic disorders (bloating, bowel disturbances, discomfort in the stomach, nausea);
• migraine-like headache.

After stopping the drug, side effects usually disappear.

Overdose

Overdose of the drug can cause only manifestations of hypervitaminosis. Treatment consists of gastric lavage, drug withdrawal and symptomatic therapy.

Interactions with other drugs

It is not recommended to use the drug Vasavital together with derivatives of salicylic acid, penicillin, as well as with indirect anticoagulant drugs.

An increase in the effectiveness of nootropic drugs may be observed when used in combination with Vazavital capsules.

Storage conditions

The drug Vasavital is usually stored in dry, dark conditions at a temperature of about 20°C.

Shelf life

The shelf life is about 2 years. After the expiration date, the medicine should be thrown away.
