Release form

The drug is released in film-coated tablets (250 mg + 250 mg), in quantities of 30, 60 or 100 pieces.

Pharmacodynamics

Glucosamine hydrochloride with chondroitin sulfate promotes the binding of connective tissues and prevents cartilage damage.

The use of glucosamine helps protect diseased cartilage from subsequent destruction that may occur when using NSAIDs and GCS, and also leads to the development of moderate anti-inflammatory activity.

Chondroitin sulfate is a substance that helps build cartilage, and also promotes the binding of proteoglycans, collagen and hyaluronic acid. At the same time, the component provides the required viscosity of synovium, suppresses the properties of enzymes that have a destructive effect on cartilage, and heals cartilage tissue. In the case of osteoarthritis treatment, it allows you to reduce the amount of NSAIDs used and relieve the symptoms of the pathology.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration of glucosamine, its bioavailability values are approximately 25%. The highest values of the component are observed in the liver, articular cartilage and kidneys. The element can be stored for a long time in bone and muscle tissue. The half-life is approximately 3 days. Excretion occurs mainly through the kidneys.

The bioavailability of chondroitin sulfate is approximately 12%. Metabolic processes in the body occur through desulfurization reactions. Excretion occurs through the kidneys, the half-life of the component is 5 hours.

Reviews

Tazan receives rather mixed reviews on medical forums. There are both completely positive comments and opinions that the drug is absolutely useless. Many patients, after completing the treatment cycle, noted the disappearance of crunching and pain in the joints, as well as an increase in their mobility. But at the same time, those people who were helped by the drug note such a disadvantage as its rather high cost.

Doctors also have different opinions about the drug - some give it a positive assessment, while others consider it not very effective.

From all this, we can draw the following assessment - Tazan demonstrates the most noticeable effectiveness with prolonged use (at least six months), as well as at non-advanced stages of pathology. In addition, an important advantage of the drug is that it can be combined with anti-inflammatory drugs and other therapeutic methods, as well as used for monotherapy.
