The drug is applied locally, providing a hemostatic and adsorbing effect.

Indications Tahokomba

Tachocomb is used during surgical treatment:

  • in vascular surgery, if standard methods of stopping bleeding do not work;
  • during lung surgery, to ensure tightness;
  • to achieve hemostasis;
  • for joining fabrics

Release form

Tachocomb is available in the form of plates of different sizes. The package may contain one (size 9.5x4.8 cm or 2.5x3 cm) or two (size 4.8x4.8 cm) plates.

Pharmacodynamics

Takhokmb contains a collagen plate containing fibrin paste elements on one side, which increases blood clotting. When the medicine comes into contact with the wound, fibrinogen is converted into fibrin, due to the active assistance of thrombin. In this case, a fibrin clot is formed, which binds the collagen plate to the wound. Then fibrin, binding with the internal XIII factor, creates a strong, reliable network with adhesive properties. The formed framework does not allow water and air to pass through, and also guarantees reliable sealing.

Pharmacokinetics

The drug has not been tested on the human body, but in animals biodegradation of the drug was observed, which was actively progressing. Metabolism occurs due to phagocytosis and fibrinolysis. In this case, platinum is completely covered with granular tissue.

It is possible to determine the remains of active substances that do not exhibit a local irritating effect six months after treatment.

The drug should never be used intravascularly, only locally.

Dosing and administration

The drug must not be used if its primary packaging is damaged. The outer packaging may only be opened in a hospital, in a non-sterile area of the operating room, and the inner plate - in exclusively sterile conditions before direct use.

The wound must first be thoroughly cleaned of various liquids. Tachocomb must be moistened with a physiological solution and applied immediately, pressing it to the wound with wet gloves for three to five minutes. If the bleeding is very severe, this may not be necessary.

To prevent the sponge from sticking to the instruments and gloves, they must be moistened beforehand.

After five minutes, you can remove the gloves, carefully holding the hemostatic sponge with clamps.

The size of the sponge that may be needed depends on the size of the wound surface. It should be taken into account that the plate should be 2 cm larger than the wound. The edges of the sponges can overlap each other if more than one sponge is needed. Unused sponges or their fragments must be destroyed immediately.
