Rochnopathy or simply snoring, in most cases bothers the snorer's immediate environment much more than the snorer himself, since it is almost impossible to get a good night's sleep next to him. They turn him on his side, put additional pillows under his head so that it does not fall back, push him, swear, but after a while the person snores again. This sound phenomenon occurs due to many reasons. One of them, quite common, is the age-related weakening of the soft tissue muscles of the larynx and pharynx, their "sagging" and vibration. In addition, people snore who have certain anatomical features of the nasopharynx, for example, narrowed air passages in which mucus accumulates and these accumulations become viscous. [ 1 ] In this case, Silence Forte from snoring can help - a new generation drug in a convenient spray form.

In other cases, when the cause of snoring is surgical pathologies, chronic diseases, nasopharyngeal injuries, the drug may not help. Therefore, before using this product, it is advisable to consult an otolaryngologist about the possible cause of snoring.

Indications Silence Forte for snoring

Snoring caused by vibration of the soft palate tissue. It should be noted that the spray is not a means of preventing sleep apnea.

Release form

Silence forte for snoring is available in a convenient form. No tampons or swabs are needed for its application, there is no direct contact with the surface of application. It is a spray.

Pharmacodynamics

The mechanism of action is provided by the ingredients included in the solution.

  • Phosphatidylcholine is a natural extract of soybean oil residues. Its structure is similar to human skin and mucous membranes, due to which it perfectly saturates them and promotes the penetration of active substances into the deep layers. In addition, phosphatidylcholine promotes the formation of a homogeneous solution and the mixing of substances that usually do not react with each other, as well as the preservation of their qualities, in particular, this concerns the following components of the drug.
  • Glycerin is a moisturizing ingredient, a hygroscopic alcohol whose cells capture and retain water. It is also an excellent conductor, helping to deliver useful substances to their destination as quickly as possible.
  • Carrageenan (E407) is a sulfate polysaccharide, hydrocolloid, and is a gelling additive. It is of natural origin. It is produced from red seaweed.
  • Extract from dog rose hips is a complex of nutritional substances: ascorbic acid, riboflavin, bioflavonoids, phylloquinone, sugars, tannins, provides a mild anti-inflammatory effect.
  • Sucralose (E955) – sweetener.
  • Flavors: mint and tangerine.
  • Preservatives – sodium salts of parabens.
  • Sodium dihydrogen phosphate, bisodium hydrogen phosphate are multi-purpose food additives (stabilizing, emulsifying, buffering, water-retaining).

In addition, there is distilled water itself and propellant gas that facilitates atomization.

The consistency of the drug is a light foam with mucoadhesive properties, i.e. it remains on the mucous membrane for a long time after application, and the active substances are gradually released from it and the effect lasts throughout the night. The foam envelops the mucous membrane of the soft tissues of the larynx, moisturizes and softens it.

Pharmacokinetics

It is assumed that the distribution, metabolism and elimination from the body of the multi-component natural drug Silence Forte for snoring corresponds to the action of each component. What is typical for complex drugs, their synergistically combined effect was studied empirically, in clinical studies. They revealed the rapid and effective action of the spray in cases where it is used according to indications.

The spray works quickly, literally on the first night the volume of snoring decreases. Since the passage of air is facilitated, some discomfort may appear (increased breathing during night sleep, dry throat in the morning). It is a favorable sign indicating the effectiveness of the drug. With regular use, the structure of the soft tissues of the pharynx stabilizes, discomfort goes away, snoring becomes quieter and stops.

Dosing and administration

Silence Forte spray is used before bedtime after eating and performing evening oral hygiene procedures. Shake the aerosol can, attach the spray nozzle to the spout of the can and turn it upside down. Place the nozzle in the mouth, directing it to the back wall of the pharynx, press the dispenser and irrigate the mucous surface for about one second.

The irrigation procedure is repeated three times, after which the spray nozzle is washed with clean water.

Application for children

The spray is intended for adults. Snoring in children is often caused by neoplasms (polyps), enlarged tonsils or adenoids, injuries, congenital anomalies. In these cases, other treatment is required. The child must be shown to a doctor and the cause of snoring must be determined.

After eating, drinking alcohol, or taking local anesthetics, before using the spray, you should rinse your throat or at least drink a few sips of clean water to avoid reducing the effectiveness of the spray.

Storage conditions

Shelf life

The expiration date, after which the contents cannot be used, is indicated on the packaging.

Analogues

Sonex spray has a similar effect. This is a herbal preparation based on essential oils, has an antiseptic effect, prevents the occurrence of inflammatory processes and relieves symptoms such as moderate swelling, pain, redness. Increases the tone of the muscles of the larynx and pharynx, moisturizes and softens the tissues of the mucous membrane. It is used before bedtime, just like Silence Forte.

Snoreks spray drops contain plant components and propolis. It requires application three times a day, but the procedure is not too complicated. The effect is similar to the first two. Which one to choose? It depends on many factors, primarily on individual tolerance.

Reviews of all three drugs are polar: from enthusiastic to negative. In this sense, it is worth reminding once again that the drugs do not eliminate all causes of snoring and, before using any of them, you should still consult a doctor and find out the origin of your pathology.
