Indications Reparil gel
The medicinal product Reparil-gel is indicated for use in case of injuries - bruises, sprains or ligament ruptures, crushed bones, inflammatory processes in tendon sheaths. It is used for pain syndromes caused by pathological processes in the spinal column - pain in the occipital region, lumbago, sciatica. It is indicated for superficial inflammatory processes in the veins and varicose veins.
Release form
It is produced in the form of a gel for external use and is packaged in tubes of forty or one hundred grams of the drug each. One tube is placed in a cardboard package and supplied with an instruction leaflet. Reparil gel has a transparent consistency, is colorless or light yellow and has a lavender smell. One hundred grams of gel contains one gram of the active component - escin and five grams of another active substance - diethylamine salicylate. Of the excipients, there is a certain content of lavender oil, neroli oil, carbomers, macrogol-6-glycerol capryl caprate, disodium edetate, trometamol, 2-propanol, purified water.

Pharmacodynamics
Reparil gel has anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, venotonic and analgesic effects.
The action of the active component - escin is capable of preventing fluid retention in tissues when penetrating through the skin, which leads to the suppression of swelling. The substance also leads to the suppression of inflammation and the elimination of local swelling. Another active substance - diethylamine salicylate has an anti-inflammatory effect, which is enhanced by the action of escin and leads to pain relief.
Reparil-gel promotes the activation of lysosomal enzymes, which have the ability to break down proteoglycan, and also leads to a decrease in the fragility and permeability of blood vessels, increased microcirculation, and leads to the elimination of venous congestion.

Pharmacokinetics
The absorption rate of the drug is quite low and is less than two percent of the applied amount of the drug. High concentrations of escin are found in muscle tissues under the skin area where the drug was applied. Maximum concentrations of the drug are noted in the dermis and subcutaneous fat layer six hours after its use.

Dosing and administration
The drug Reparil-gel is used externally from one to several times a day. The medicine is applied to the desired area of the skin in an even layer, lightly rubbing into the skin.

Use Reparil gel during pregnancy
Do not use Reparil gel on large areas of skin during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is also prohibited to apply the preparation to the mammary glands during breastfeeding.
Contraindications
- The presence of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
- The drug is not recommended for use on mucous membranes, open wounds, damaged areas of the skin, as well as those areas of the skin that have recently been irradiated.

- Rare patients may experience local skin allergic reactions in the form of itching, skin rash and hyperemia.

Overdose
External use of the drug Reparil-gel assumes the absence of an overdose. Shelf life
Reparil gel – in aluminum tubes – up to 6 months, in plastic tubes – up to thirty-six months from the date of manufacture.
