Relzer has antacid activity and also eliminates excess gas formation in the gastrointestinal tract.

The medicine is a combination of carminative compounds and salts, due to which it neutralizes the effect of free gastric hydrochloric acid with high efficiency, and also weakens the digestive activity of gastric juice. At the same time, the medicine does not lead to secondary potentiation of gastric juice secretion; it has an enveloping and adsorbing effect and reduces the negative effect of various damaging factors on the gastric mucosa.

At the same time, it helps to heal ulcers that appear inside the gastrointestinal tract and relieves intestinal bloating.

Indications Relzer

It is used in the following conditions:

  • exacerbation of ulcers affecting the gastrointestinal tract;
  • gastritis, occurring in an acute or chronic degree, against the background of which there is an increase or exacerbation of healthy excretory activity;
  • reflux esophagitis or duodenitis;
  • diaphragmatic hernia;
  • the presence of pain or discomfort in the epigastric region associated with drug treatment, dietary deficiencies, as well as smoking and drinking alcohol or coffee.

The component is released in the form of a suspension, in 180 ml bottles. The pack also contains a 10 ml measuring cup.

Pharmacodynamics

The effect of the drug develops due to the activity of its active components. Among these are some antacids - magnesium and aluminum hydroxides, deglycyrrhizinated licorice, and simethicone.

Mg and Al hydroxides help neutralize gastric pH. At the same time, they have an enveloping and adsorbing effect, and also eliminate pain that occurs in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract.

Simethicone is a surface-active inert element based on silicon, which has an antifoaming effect. Due to the physical weakening of surface tension, gas bubbles that form inside the intestines during bloating are eliminated. The gas released in this case is absorbed or excreted naturally.

Deglycyrrhizinated licorice has a protective function in relation to the gastric mucosa, helping to restore its cells. At the same time, the component has antispasmodic activity.

Dosing and administration

The medication is used for oral administration - after 1 hour from the moment of eating, and also before bedtime. In addition, it can be taken when pain or discomfort in the epigastric area and heartburn occur. Before using the suspension, shake the bottle with the medicine.

Interactions with other drugs

Relzer can adsorb individual active components of other drugs, thereby reducing their absorption rate. Among such medications are: chlorpromazine, digoxin with tetracyclines, indomethacin and isoniazid with phenytoin. In addition, this includes β-blockers, salicylates, diflunisal with histamine H2 blockers and quinolones (such as ofloxacin with grepafloxacin, norfloxacin with enoxacin, ciprofloxacin, etc.). In addition to them, the list includes rifampicin, fexofenadine, pivampicillin, barbiturates with azithromycin, dipyridamole and cefpodoxime with indirect anticoagulants, as well as quinidine, lithium and iron drugs and zalcitabine. Also included are ketoconazole, mexiletine with lansoprazole, and anthropodeoxycholic bile acid with UDCA.

Combination with enteric-coated drugs can increase the rate of irritation and damage to the gastrointestinal tract lining due to an increase in the alkaline levels of gastric juice.

Combination with m-anticholinergics inhibits the process of gastric emptying, and also potentiates and prolongs the effect of the drug.

A 1-2 hour interval should be observed between taking Relcer and other medications.
